We were passing by the area, looked up this restaurant from Google Maps…

We got some summer rolls, an order of banh mi, a bowl of special pho, and a rice plate with roast pork.

Hoi An is an old trading post in Vietnam, a place where a yellow rice noodle dish came from, a dish that put central cooking style of Vietnam on the map. But this place has none of that. Instead it has a very limited menu. Some banh mi, some pho, and some rice plates. Except for pho, everything came out on paper plates. This ratings, 4 stars, is a ratings for a quick takeaway place, not a ratings for a restaurant.

For a quick takeaway, it pulled off nicely. Pho had a very tasty broth, but it lacked some meats. Banh mi was simply some roast pork and carrot pickles, but it tasted ok. The rice plate with roast pork was acceptable, delivered with an omelette on top of the rice. The summer rolls were the best, rolled as you placed the order, fresh veggies with nice size of shrimps.

Service was adequate. We would not want to go back just for the food, but would stop back if we happen to be in the area.

I love this place because it’s awesome. The menu is quick and to the point because all you need is a good bowl of pho. They re very accommodating to vegetarians, and you can be confident that the food is actually vegetarian. It’s family operated, and the service and quality reflect that- both are excellent. It’s a great place and you should go!

I just started a new job at Merritt 7 office complex and low and behold……a Pho spot directly across the street! I was beyond excited and then I went there and was even more pleased. Delicious, simple menu and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. This will become my go to place for lunch for sure!

5 stars! I only rate a place this high when it seriously exceeds my expectations, which were high because it was hyped to be a great restaurant.

It lived up to the hype. The employees were very quick on their feet and happy to serve us. The food got to us fairly quick. The beef ban mhi sandwich was great, the pho tasted incredible. We got both a veggie and a brisket/rare beef bowl and both were good sized portions with rich broth and quality ingredients. The prices are average for the area, so overall a really good deal.

*I posted an updated picture of the menu, reflecting some minor price increases

Great spot to get Pho in Norwalk. Shrimp rolls were great tasting, home made garlic chili oil is awesome. Would definitely visit again.

We come from S Cal where the Vietnamese food is extremely good. With that as a background, I found the noodle to be just ok. Service is good and the place is comfortable to eat in.

I came across this place from a small ad at my job and decided to check it out since I haven’t found a real authentic pho place since moving here. As soon as I walked in I noticed it had a very home and welcoming environment and was greeted by the very kind staff who was able to break down every dish and tell me exactly what I’d be getting. I decided to get the beef combo pho and the man taking my order first asked how I liked spicy things, being Mexican I told him of course. He then recommended me this spicy oil they make in house. When I received my dish, I was already happy with just the presentation and the aroma of the broth. It came with fresh bean sprouts and lime on the side and even jalapenos. Taking the first sip of the broth alone, I knew what I was getting myself into. It was exactly what I’d been looking for. It was DELICIOUS! As fast as I could go without burning my mouth, I dug into it and loved every single bite and sip. I added some of the oil they recommended and that took it to a whole other level. For those who aren’t good with spicy things I would not recommend as it does have a kick to it, but for me, it was amazing. If you’re looking for some good pho, look no further, this is the best you’re going to find anywhere around here.

Liked this place. Rolls where good and their seafood pho very tastefull (mix in the veggies, rooster sauce and hoi sin sauce). I do not give 5 stars because their menu is very limited, I respect their choice, but just a few more options would have been better for me.

Delicious Pho! The gentleman working was so pleasant and I loved the variety of soaps in the bathroom as well as the healthy plaza of different places. Very impressed it’s hard to find healthy places! Will make sure to stop again when traveling by!
