What a great spot. Perfect deck on the creek to wnjoy a few “beverages” with a wide selection of pub food options.
Worth a little side trip for sure.

I was bestowed the honor of the 1st ever Breakfast Oar Burger! You gotta try one! The Oar Burger carries its own weight, no doubt. But, I’m not scared to give it company on that pedastal. It doesn’t HAVE to be lonely at the top.

We just ordered appetizers. Fried pickles were the best I’ve had. Catfish probably needed to cook a little longer. Onion rings were good. This place is right on the river. Watch wildlife and enjoy a sunset view on the outdoor patio. Casual laid-back and comfortable. Service was nice and friendly.

The Oar House is easily one of the best hidden gems on the water. From the moment you arrive, the laid-back marina setting and live music make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food with even better vibes.
The oysters are fresh and full of flavor — a must-try if you’re a seafood lover. The wings with the signature Oar House sauce are absolutely addictive, and the chicken wraps are packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Pair any of it with an ice-cold beer, and you’ve got yourself the ideal day by the creek.
The staff here really make the experience stand out — friendly, accommodating, and always attentive without being overbearing. Whether you’re stopping in after a day on the water or coming just for the food and music, The Oar House never disappoints.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, cold drinks, and a fun waterfront atmosphere!

The Oar House has moved and is on Black Creek. Great place to boat or drive to. Went to listen to music tonight and heard Typo-fantastic band! Great environment, great people, super friendly staff. Try the Cajun food if they are there.

I was a big fan of the Oar House at their previously location, and happy to see them over on Black Creek Rd. now. Joe & Beth have always provided amazing food and service, and this location allows them to do that even better! You absolutely NEED to get the wings… they are grilled/smoked throughout in the day, then a quick flash fry prior to serving. Get the Oar Sauce!!! These are my absolute favorite wings! My second go to is the grilled oysters. You can’t go wrong!

Love the new location on Black Creek! They have a great outdoor venue with live music. The drinks and food were good. Prices were average for the area. We will definitely return soon!

Best oysters in the entire Choctawhatchee bay area. Possibly the best in the panhandle. You won’t be disappointed. Clean dining experience, fantastic seating areas. Another Freeport gem.
