Prager Brothers Pizza makes some seriously good pizza — fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of cheesy. The crust is perfectly balanced between crispy and chewy, and their bread is also excellent — warm, garlicky, and great for sharing.
They also have great live music, which adds a fun, local vibe to the place. It’s a nice bonus if you’re dining in and want something a little extra with your meal.
The only downside is the limited seating. It’s a pretty small spot, so finding a table during busy hours can be tough. Still, it’s worth it — and definitely a solid choice for takeout too.
Great local spot with quality food and a cool atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Prager Brother’s Carlsbad.
Went there for lunch to give their bread another try.
Ham & cheese sandwich. C+ only. Both ham and cheese were good quality, but both tasted bland. Mustard didn’t help much and baguette was rather dry although flavor was decent.
Chocolate croissant. Decent flavor, but lacks texture. No crunchiness at all. Deserves a “B” – a little toasting would help.
Brought home a loaf of walnut raisin. My ranking of San Diego sour dough to date (price agnostic): Izola > Prager Bros > the rest, which includes O’Briens, Bread & Cie, French Oven. Decent flavor, crumb a little tight, and not enough hydration. A “B+” nonetheless. But if I add price into the equation, as well as convenience, then Prager Bros beats Izola.
Will make it out to Prager Bros again for pizza. And still need to try put Wayfarer for the complete SD sour dough taste test.

I eat here quite a bit. And each time, I go in with patience and leave with half my lunch hour in the dust because it takes 14-15 minutes to receive ONE slice of pizza. I can’t order ahead because they have a $25 minimum. Is this the price I pay for a $5 dollar slice? I can’t afford to waste time like that when I only get 30 minutes for lunch.

Our staple once a week. Pick up fresh bread next door then order the florentine pizza for lunch. Casual, cozy spot and easy parking

Another home run for the Prager Brothers. Delicious pizzas, salads, bagels, dressings, etc. Loved the live music for the grand opening, would love to see the music thing turn into a once a month affair!

The flavor of the dough is so good that its a good enough reason to go back for more. We got the Florentine and Margarita pizzas, and they were both delicious. I think that the price point is a little high for the amount of pizza you get, but it IS delicious, and it IS very high quality ingredients.
Worth the drive out, and we’ll be seeing them again.

Thank you to the Prager Brothers for opening up the best pizza place ever!!!! The pizza is so freaking tasty, the crust is sturdy and delicate at the same time, and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the people working there! Ryan usually takes my orders and he is just the most pleasant person on the planet. This pizza is out of this world delicious! There aren’t too many selections, but the pizzas they have available are artfully concocted–with ingredients that honor that dough! Lol, I’m actually trading dough for dough tonight! Prager Pizza, get ready…I’m coming for you! 🙂
