Just getting around to writing my review. I visited with my husband back in April. The cashier at the drive thru was very rude. She seemed to be annoyed that we made an order.
I ordered the chicken club, the lettuce was bad and the tomato was too. See pictures for reference. My husband orders the 5 & 5, which was good.

Delicious fried chicken, fried okra, and fries! Love the unique sauces. And the banana pudding was excellent. I love the fact that they have different kinds of fresh sweet tea like raspberry and peach.

First time visitor – ordered the chicken and waffles and it was delicious. The waffle was perfectly made. The chicken tenders were crisp but still tender and moist inside. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Very little people inside. The dining room was very clean and the tables were not sticky. Highly recommend. I will come back when I’m in town.

New spot so I waited until the rush died out and grabbed an early lunch about a week after they opened. The food was pretty good. I would give the wings 8/10, and fingers 7/10. Sauces were maybe a 6 and toast and fries were 7. The shining star was the fresh new employees who still seemed to like the new job. Service was great and fast, food was hot and the restaurant was clean. So all in all it was a good lunch. It didn’t become my favorite spot for tenders but it’s good.
Second visit tried the Mac and cheese tender bowl and it was good. Ordered six wings and didn’t expect them to be $10. They tasted great (sweet chili) but some were overcooked and the skin wasn’t edible, certainly overpriced.

See pictures for reference. We just left (i’ve been trying to type this for 10 minutes now). The line moved moderately but the workers moved too quick. They skimped my milkshake ( I can’t drink that much that quick check timestamp) , we asked for TWO honey mustards, and ONE ranch (per receipt). We received one honey mustard at first and when we asked again the girl came back with TWO RANCHES. Like cool but not what we asked for. The fries were salty and I wish I had a little bit more of my milkshake to enjoy being that the cups are already small.

We ate here over the weekend. I had the new spicy chicken tenders. They were delicious. As always the fries were perfectly seasoned. We eat here regularly and always have great service and food. I would really like to give a 4.5 star but that’s not an option. The only issue I had was the container that holds the straws by the drink station had somehow had something wet get in the bottom and every single straws paper was soaked. Now the staff gave us straws from behind the counter but nobody came and changed out the straws. I saw multiple people have to go to the counter to get a straw.

I was very excited to see Slim Chickens opened a new location in Montgomery, Alabama. When we pulled up to the drive thru, Jazz was outside and greeted us with a big smile. When I asked how long they had been open, she said 1 week. Jazz took our order and was very friendly. The staff was running orders out to the cars to keep the drive thru moving quicker. The food was hot and fresh. The only mistake was that they forgot to give me my free jar dessert that I used from my rewards account. Overall great experience and we will be back again.

Love Slim chickens they have some of the best fried pickles so was excited to see them building one here, even though Montgomery is already overflowing with chicken joints. Tried the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich which was free with the app download. 0/0 recommend, bun tasted old, the chicken was super dry and chewy, much smaller than the actual bun (I had to scoot it completely to one side just to get a picture of the actual chicken instead of just lettuce and bun) which was fine because I could even eat it. Tried the fried mushrooms this time, they did not disappoint. You get a great portion for the price. Hubs liked his chicken and waffle fine, nothing special. We ordered separate from my mom who ordered right after us but her order came out more than 10 mins after ours, at least 5 other tables got food even through they came in after we had already sat down and one was a table of six, that was super weird but we waited patiently. The customer service here is nonexistent. No acknowledgement, friendliness, very unhelpful when asking questions about menu. Their chairs are rock hard. Restaurant was over all pretty clean. Love their sauce options. Would go back if I was in the mood for fried pickles or mushrooms. Over $30 for 2 ppl even with a free sandwich…little pricey.

At the time of posting(11-7-2024), Mr. Lee has a wonderful staff and was able to resolve all issues from my first ever visit on 11-6-2024. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. Even have the chance to try a Oreo shake and a brownie jar which was really nice and well balanced on both items. What surprised me the most is that the devils smoke was not as hot as the mango habanero hot sauce. I will definitely be sending all my friends and family members here and hopefully they will feel the same way as I do!

Waited nearly 15 minutes in the drive thru with three cars ahead of me. When I opened my food, the waffle from my chicken and waffles was soggy and looked mangled. Upon closer inspection (and upon taking a bite) I found the waffle to be significantly undercooked and doughy. All things fair, though – the chicken was good.
