This was the BEST breakfast I ever had. 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, fries and grits! The staff was very friendly and the service was fast and mindful. Would definitely go again. Authentic soul food at a great price.

I believe 5 stars isn’t enough to explain how great this place is. I had the officer Steve special adios mio!!!!! I believe this is the best breakfast spot on long island(Queens and Brooklyn included) and possibly the state. It was cooked and season perfectly. The other food I saw customers eating looked delicious to. I was tempted to ask if I can try some of there plate but they brought my food out and I was shocked to see it. Very very delicious food and service was fast and efficient. And the price was just as great as the food.

The food here was absolutely delicious. I ordered the ribs, Mac and cheese and collard greens. The ribs were tender which is the first thing I look for. The sides were both flavorful. My only wish is that they put more food into the platter. My wife had the barbecue chicken which is 3 pcs now instead of 4. The yams she ordered were very good and the barbecue chicken also tasted good. The wait was about 15-20 minutes and the price seemed fair. I would highly recommend going here if you are looking for a good soul food spot in Long Island.

Soul food at it best. Chicken and waffles were amazing. The chicken was seasoned just right, the waffle had the perfect combination of crunch. The beef brisket was tender and melt in your mouth good. Fell in love with the yams. The owner was so nice and hospitable. Prices are also moderate. There are not many tables but when I went it was not crowded so we got to sit down but I’ve heard it can get busy at time. A must try.

I see quite a few reviews describing the staff here as having very bad attitudes – but we’ve been received and served with warm, welcoming courtesy each time we’ve gone there. We never dine in – we always get takeout, but it’s always been a nice experience – not to mention delicious!

First time visit, small place with only a few tables so not a place for a big crowd. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I ordered the brisket and chicken and waffles. Both were done very nicely. The brisket was very juicy, the chicken was nice and crunchy. Definitely worth going and will be going back in the future. Nice find.
