This is a local spot. We are not locals and felt out of place. However, I will say that the waitress was not the reason. She was kind and accommodating.
This place makes bar food well. We ordered a pizza to share, which, despite it coming out wrong, was delicious. Why didn’t we send it back or say anything? Well, we were so hungry and just happy to be eating something tasty. (If you like saucy pizza, you will be happy.) The wings were also cooked to perfection. The jalapeno poppers were exactly as expected and came out piping hot. The place looks like it could get lively and fun later on at night. We came in at 1-2ish. They have pool tables and other games and great drink prices. Albeit not a huge selection of draft beers. While we were there maybe 4 lines and they ran out of 1 while ordering. Overall, we did experience a racial micro-aggression by a local but cannot blame it on the establishment by any means. Just a good thing to have in mind before stopping here and not being Caucasian.

The service was TERRIBLE. The woman who served us acted like she was dead inside and wanted to be anywhere but there. She was monotone, took forever to come back to the table, never checked up on us, just was all around a really bad server. The place was practically empty too. She would stand and talk to her coworkers instead of doing her job. It also took forever to get our food, not sure if that was our servers fault or the kitchen being slow. Once we did finally get our food, it was delicious. Would recommend getting the burgers, but would recommend to skip the taco salad and wraps.

Yesterday (1/24/26) was my first time eating at mad Mike’s. We live in Mesquite part time and still exploring places to go in the area.
Walking in, I noticed the chalk board with the daily specials
Buy one burger get the 2nd half price. We decided to get this.
It’s Saturday and not too busy.
Just a few other people. 1 waitress and 1 bar keep on duty . We’re thinking great, should go smooth and eating in no time.
Well…
The waitress was new so I know there is a learning curve but just after we got our drinks, 2 more tables of people came in.
We were ready to order but she took the other tables Drink orders first.
She took our meal orders (2 of us) then took the other tables, about 8 others order before turning ours in to the cook and we could see the cook in the kitchen waiting for something to cook. (Not busy)
One of the tables that came in after us was served their food before us.
The food was decent and average portions.
Remember that daily special on the chalk board? When the bill came we noticed we were charged full price. When we asked the waitress about it she said “oh, that’s not supposed to be there, that was yesterday’s special” REALLY!!!!
On the way out the bar keep said, cya.
I let the bar keep know about the misunderstanding on the special and she walked over to the chalk board and rubbed it off. No sorry, no nothing.
Well Mad Mike’s, you’ve made me mad and I see no reason to go back for such a mediocre experience.
Just to give some background, I have had a service oriented company for almost 40 years. Nothing is more important to me than a happy customer.

We stopped in for dinner. The place was packed for Karaoke. The area was clean. They had tables, booths and bar seating. There were a few table top gaming machines. Bathrooms were.clean. Food wise We had the combination pizza. There were plenty of toppings and cooked as we requested. We have had their pizza twice and we’re happy both times with their combination. We have also split their club sandwich with their side salad. The salad had fresh vegetables and plenty of croutons and their ranch dressing didn’t disappoint. The club sandwich had plenty of turkey, bacon and ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato also. Can’t go wrong with that sandwich. There was a band playing which started at 6:00 pm. Plenty of parking. The waitresses were very efficient especially for the amount of people. We will definitely be back. Give them a try.

I have came to this place before had good quick service decent foor but today was the worst day ive never spent 22 dollors on mozzarella sticks before for 3 pieces, and never have not had good service till tonight, we were waljed by multiple time by servers, the lady that got our drinks came from the bar she noticed us sitting without anything for almost 20 minutes. We were not checked on if I could give a zero I would! But the lady that got our drinks is qhy one star. And the kids loud and being rude hitting our seats was not okay

This is the second time we have come in with our family-and we have loved it!
We were in town for a football tournament and have had great experiences both times. The servers are so kind and attentive. Both times a band was playing and the atmosphere was so fun!
The food has been great-delicious and quick to get out.

I don’t know who is working behind in the kitchen this Saturday for Mother’s Day weekend but they weren’t even trying. The food was so over cooked, black pancakes, Burnt bacon, over cooked omelet with two slices of fake sandwich cheese slapped on the top not even melted, no seasoning and so much butter on everything you couldn’t even eat it, had to scrape it off. This place is normally good for lunch but I don’t recommend breakfast. The waitress was a sweetheart working her butt off and the bar tender made terrible drinks I couldn’t even drink mine, she was so over the top loud and couldn’t stand still, was moving and talking so fast she sounded like she was on something. Definitely skip breakfast on the weekends here. So beyond disappointed on the food, waitress was amazing thoe.

Would give zero stars. The hostess was rude and trying to discourage us from coming in to begin with, saying the wait was an hour but there were many open tables. The door says minors are welcome with adults, but they kicked a group with kids out “because they’re loud” yet the kids were sitting at their table, no louder than the rest of the restaurant. Because of that group with kids they wouldn’t let our family in after we had been waiting 20 minutes. Very rude. We were there at 5:30, not late enough to affect the friday night bar scene. No reason for us to be treated like that.

Best burger I’ve had in years! Half pound patty and a plate full of onions rings! The rings were great too and my wife got the casedilla. All of it was so good. Even if it’s out of your way you’ve got to come here.

This place is usually a good place to vibe, they have great waitresses and service. However, not one but two food items including a whole pizza, had hair in it. The “cook” was rude from the jump, seemed highly offended and said there was no hair. Even grabbed part of the pizza with his bare hands so I pulled the hair out to show him clearly it’s there underneath the crust. This “cook” walked away to go consult with the owner. The owner wanted us to pay part of the bill, took pizza off the bill but did not offer to replace the other food item we paid for and barely ate! Only food item we fully ate were the wings which always are good. Better service and attitude would be nice.
