paid $8 for a large sundae, and got the worlds thinnest sundae — i wasn’t sure if they heard me wrong and i maybe ordered a small by accident, but… nope, this is what a large looks like at the rita’s in media. seeing as i could get an entire gallon of ice cream for less than that price but wanted to splurge on a favorite at rita’s, it’s pretty disappointing, and looking through the comments, i can see i’m not alone

I used to love Rita’s custard every summer. Unfortunately, this location has become an absolute joke when it comes to the portions. This is what a large custard looks like. To charge over $5 for a portion of this size is just flat out ridiculous. The portions have been getting smaller & smaller each year, but I cannot justify ever coming back after this. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location at all costs, spend your money elsewhere.

Ordered 2 large chocolate custard cones snd were served obviously 2 small custard, per your colorful advertisement posted on the soft serve machine, yet we were charged for 2 large servings. The young lady who served us claims this is what she has been instructed to do. Is your location falsely advertising? Has your employee been instructed to cheat your customers over serving size? She claimed there was nothing she could do about it, which sounded lame to us. Please reply.

Dismal portion for ice cream.
It’s a extremely hot day and I wanted to cool off with a nice cup of Orange and Cream Custard, I frequently work outside in the service industry as I was wearing my uniform this hot day. The attendant then took my order, I said “I’d like Orange and Cream in a cup please ” he said small or large…
I said small..
Not miniscule..
Not micro..
Not tiny..
Nor Child sized…
Just a plain ole small.
And I got this, And I look at the dude when he handed it to me with my bewildered look on my face…then he said thats about 4 dollars.
“It’s ICE CREAM…not Filet Mignon”
He either needs to be trained on portion size or it was something personal like he didn’t like the company brand I worked for…couldn’t tell.
I’m not sure if I will give this place my business if I’m to get portions like that.

I love Rita’s, but I don’t feel like this location gives you enough custard or whatever you end up ordering relative to the price. Compared to other places a large here is more like a small/medium elsewhere, BUT the custard is great and well prepared. Taste wise it’s also great and it’s a cute location. Overall I’ll absolutely be back, but will hope they’ll give me a better portion relative to the price next time.
