I’d give it more of a 7/10.
Cheese Pizza+Cheese Bread to give a good review of the bases of pizza.
Dough: 4/10 – Taste was okay, but it didn’t bring much flavor to the pizza. Very chewy with near no crisp. I arrived 3 minutes after estimated 40min time the email gave me, so that could have affected the crisp level.
Sauce: 5/10 – Tasted like a basic pre-made sauce. A little bit of that can taste to it. Quite acidic.
Cheese: 8/10 – Cheese had decent flavor. It did break down and oil broke out from overcooking. Common issue, though, so not taking much off for that.
For the price point and location with limited competition, it’ll do for basic pizza. Would work with beer and a game.
But I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. I’ve honestly had Little Caesars (on a good night) that was better.

Great local pizza spot! Friendly and fast service. This is a small, family owned business. When you walk up, the smell of pizza and delicious food is amazing! When we’re back in Nashville, we will definitely visit again.

I understand you have humans working there but the humans shouldn’t have let that leave the kitchen. We can go back n forth but the reason I didn’t post photos from the beginning is bc I was in a terrible place and was so disappointed in everything from that day/night I simply did not want to get up and take the photos. I will delete my review so the 4.5 million + views I have on all of my other reviews don’t see this. I am sorry but that food shouldn’t have never left your establishment.

I have been ordering food from Castrillo’s for many years when I lived in East Nashville for 8 years. It was always delicious. It’s been maybe 2 years since I have gotten food from here. While taking care of a friend’s home, I ordered a calzone and cinnamon sticks. Both were absolutely terrible. The calzone was overcooked, the sauce tasted gross and the cinnamon sticks was overcooked as well, it was hard to even get a bite of one stick and it was covered in so much cinnamon one could almost suffocate on it. I was so disappointed that I will NEVER order from here again.

The food was amazing it was hot and I really enjoyed it. However the delivery was picked up late and the address was recorded wrong on the restaurants part. The driver was the most disrespectful person I ever meet he placed my food on the concrete ground in front of me instead of putting it in my hand. He said his reason was because I did not put a tip on the recipe. Well duh when I ordered off line I said it would be in cash. I had his tip in the house because I was outside waiting for him so he wouldn’t get lost again. This restaurant deserves all five stars but not with such a disrespectful and unprofessional person as that driver working there. He got mad because I took a picture of his plate to file a complaint with customer service because he would not tell me his name. While I was taking the picture he put his car in reverse like he was going to hit me.

I love Castrillo’s; they ALWAYS beat the big chains on Gallatin. Their cheese bread is the best, and I love the variety of toppings they have available. I’ve never had any quality issues with my orders, nor issues with timing or anything else. Every time I’ve come to pick up the pizza, the folks working there have been friendly and professional. I live in the neighborhood and have been ordering from them for a while. You truly can’t go wrong!!!

I’ve been eating Castrillos pies for about 15 years now. I’m not a huge pizza lover but do get a craving for Castrillos at least once a month, it’s that good. Deffo my favorite pizza and have had at least two homies (probably more) agree that it is their absolute favorite. The thin crust is so good it’ll cause diverticulitis cuz you’ll eat it so much.

We really enjoyed this pizza. The hand tossed dough is light and fluffy, very delicious. This is the kind of pizza you order on Friday night when the kids have friends over. Brought back good childhood memories. Will definitely be ordering again. I wish they offered cups of restaurant style ranch instead of dressing packets, that was my only disappointment.
