Wish I could give a 4.5 ⭐️ Service was good! All my questions were answered and server was very helpful! Wait time was excellent! The pizza ( Fire on the Mountain) was REALLY delicious as was the beer cheese and chips! The house salad was not great. For the $8 price of a small, I was really disappointed that it was wilted and soggy. It was a nice size though just not very fresh. Will definitely be back as I loved everything else.

If your in Morgantown West Virginia come and check out Mountain State Brewing Co. Food was ok. It came out hot and at a descent time. The waitress was very polite and answered all my questions that i had. Service was a little slow but they did have two large groups that were here. The nachos were good along with the Cuban sandwich. I would come back and eat here again.

The atmosphere was awesome, laid back and comfortable. The overhead fans kept the warmth from the pizza fire dispersed nicely but let an enveloping warmth to the atmosphere. We ordered the spinach dip and pizza with pepperoni and sausage. The artichoke dip had a heavy garlic spice which was delightful and added a nice flavor. The crust of the pizza crust was fresh and crisp and the toppings were of equal taste. If we’re in the area again we’ll def make the stop again!

Absolutely delicious pizza!! We also ordered a flight of margaritas which were delish-but maybe just a smidge too much ice. But flavors (lime, lime jalapeño and berry) were just amazing!!! Two house salads also complimented our meals-the ranch was thick creamy and tasted homemade. Salad were decent sized portions. The pizza was hot and perfect. We dined outside. I appreciate the ambiance inside, but it was a tiny bit dark. I do love what they were doing with the light theme (copper) but it just didn’t play out with effective lighting. Cool touch-but too dark. Great service. The beer dolly sods was an absolute bust- definitely not tasty! I felt like it was a beer you had to chew-but order the margaritas and you’ll be happy!

I stopped in here in a Thursday evening for a bite to eat while traveling. I sat at the bar. There was no wait for a seat there but there was a little bit of a delay with ordering. The bartender seemed to be a bit overwhelmed so I waited a few minutes for a menu and then a few more for a drink and then a few more to order food. He was very apologetic to the few of us sitting at the bar. They had two sour beers on the menu but both kegs had kicked so I had an IPA. I ordered an apple butter pulled chicken sandwich. I waited a bit for that to come out. There was a lot of chicken. It was ok. It came with a bag of Miss Vickie’s chips. It was similar to a sandwich that would would get from a bbq joint.
There was a live band inside near the bar. They sounded good. The atmosphere was casual. They have an outdoor patio that was packed and I believe it was the weekend of the college’s graduation so they at be were busier than usual but this was my first time here so not sure.
There was a very tiny parking lot that was full so I parked near the walking trail that runs along the patio and back of the building. That was a metered parking lot using Parkmobile and I crossed a small walking bridge on the trail to get to the building. Prices were reasonable.
Overall it was an ok visit.

We had a party of 11 at the restaurant in Morgantown on Monongela Blvd. on Dec. 30th. We are a family gathered in Morgantown from three different states and had not all been together for a year. We got there around 5 and stayed until 9 when when we thought they closed. Through all of that time the only server I saw for a large group of the tables was Josh. He did a great job, kept everyone happy and got the orders right. What really impressed us when we realized we were the only ones there at 8:55 we started to leave and that”s when we saw the sign saying that they closed at 8PM. Josh never said a word about the restaurant being closed, he just made sure that we had what we wanted and waited patiently for us to leave. What a nice night made nicer by a really kind, and patient, waiter.

Nice river side location, with a extensive pizza and bbq menu. This location has a nice wood fire oven and the sounds of crackling wood, scent of smokiness and just a warming comfortable interior makes this brewery a great establishment to enjoy a crafted pint. They’re one of 3 active breweries in the City limits and parking was plentiful around the site (not free .75 per hour with a 2 hour max, no parking comps).

I’ve been coming to the Brewing Co for years and they almost never disappoint. I love their pesto and prosciutto pizza, but other heavy hitters include the Fire on the Mountain, the Northcamp, the Margarita, the buffalo chicken, and the plain ole pepperoni. Their spinach dip (which I got this time but ate before I remembered to take a picture) was rich and absolutely delicious. I love the bruschetta they do as well, and I love to save the extra tomatoes and put it on my pizza crusts. The beer selection is great, I loved the margarita flights, and the atmosphere in there is almost always good, the lights are just sometimes a little bright. I recommend the Brewing Co. to many people who come out of town and consider it to be my favorite wood-fired pizza.
