My friend and I had brunch here today and it was lovely. I love the big windows, the fresh flowers and the food was so DELICIOUS. I had a savory pancake, and my friend had the broccoli quiche. We both ate every crumb! Loved our experience here.

Delicious meals and fantastic service! All in a cute little neighborhood spot. Not sure what more you could ask for. It has more of a creative menu than your typical brunch spot.

This is a fairly small restaurant positions in South Minneapolis. We had a 6:30 reservation and there was quite a few people inside. The waitress most wonderful and assisted us right away and stop back many times. They have a great cocktail menu along with a couple mocktails. The food however was just okay. The Caesar salad was made with anchovies, but it tasted very fishy. The pesto chicken flatbread was more of hand tossed Pizza style but very good. Need fried chicken sandwich was very juicy and tender. They did offer a few specials of the night that sounded delicious, but we didn’t try any of these tonight.

Stopped here for brunch for the first time after driving by for years and always wanting to check it out! There’s a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated right away at 11am on a Sunday without reservations.

We shared the bacon avocado burger and Miso Roasted Winter Squash and Brown Rice Bowl. Really liked the bacon avocado burger with fries. The bowl was good just not very big. We added the crispy tofu which I highly recommend. Could have used more of the veggies but it was good. They also had various coffee drinks as well as cocktails and mocktails.

Very friendly service. There was a parking lot as well as free street parking.

Well this place is a gem! We decided to find a restaurant half way between us and some family. We met here on a Saturday afternoon and were delighted to see food and drink specials, on a SATURDAY. The cocktails were refreshing, and it was one of the best California burgers I’ve had: beef was nicely seasoned, the fresh toppings added nice texture. I also sampled the grilled cheese and falafel burgers, and both were tasty. I love a place where I can park pretty easily and isn’t super crowded. We lucked out with a parking spot in the lot, and there were not a ton of people there. Plus they were playing a really cool variety of music. It’s not an expansive menu, but everything on it was compelling … we struggled to narrow down what to order. I hope I get to go back and meet up with family there again. And I wish I would have taken a few pics of our food and drink.

Loved the bread pudding here! Like a French toast that got dressed up for a fancy party. Coffee was perfect. I always hate when chicken sandwiches are too thick but the one here is crispy and just the right thickness. I haven’t even eaten the Cobb salad I brought home yet but it looks beautiful. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options labeled on the menu.

I’ve been here a few times with my husband and daughter. The food is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. I can always find something healthy and delicious (ie vegetables are not just an afterthought) and they have a well curated drink menu whether your in the mood for alcohol or not. Great neighborly vibe and bar seating is available.

Delicious, fresh, scratch, comfort, friendly, ambiance… words I’d use to describe Book Club. We had skewers and the tofu to start. All were super tasty and highly recommend. We then had the broccoli mac and a fried chickend sandwich. The chicken sandwich was top notch. The mac was also fairly tasty.

Edit again: their happy hour is awesome! Get the steak skewers! Mac and cheese could use a bit more seasoning though.

Edit: I haven’t visited this place since my last review, and it still did not disappoint. We didn’t catch the bartenders name, but they were so kind and made our experience truly that much better. I love to try a little bit of everything, so they did their best to make it work for me and I was so pleased. We didn’t realize they did last call for the kitchen already and the bartender went out of their way for us.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I love the vibe, service was great, they make a delicious dirty martini and if you’re considering getting the grilled cheese with kimchi- don’t hesitate and just order it. You will NOT regret it. This place is phenomenal and quaint in every way you’d expect a restaurant called Book Club to be.

The restaurant gets full on the weekend very quickly, so might need to wait a little if you go late. I didn’t have to wait and got a table right away. The tofu is crispy on outside and soft in the inside. It’s drizzled with sweet savory sauce and with each bit, you keep on wanting more. The korean pancake was also tasty and delicious. It was well seasoned and same sauce drizzled on top, along with two sunny side up eggs. I didn’t like the ham on the side as much. It was salty to my taste. The rice bowl could use more seasonings to make it flavorful and not bland. I enjoyed the living and fun atmosphere the restaurant brings in.
