We had an amazing dining experience at MasterChef Egyptian Restaurant in Saint Paul. My wife and I ordered grilled chicken, chicken shawarma, fries, and chicken shish, and everything was absolutely delicious.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with authentic Egyptian taste that really stands out. The chicken was juicy, the fries were crispy, and the shish was seasoned to perfection.
On top of that, the service was outstanding — very friendly, welcoming, and professional. We felt comfortable from the moment we walked in, and our order was prepared quickly with great attention to quality.

I got their chicken tenders for takeout and they were surprisingly fresh, crispy, and juicy. You could tell they were just made — not greasy at all. The seasoning was flavorful but not overpowering, and the meat inside was super tender. Definitely one of the best chicken tenders I’ve had from a local spot. I’ll be coming back for more.

Highly recommended, when you first pull up the establishment may not look perfect however the food and staff definitely make up for it. The menu offers a delightful mix of classic and innovative dishes. For starters, the Philly beef and cheese was very flavorful and delicious. The French fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. The sambuca was fantastic and was given to us on the house as a sample.
The service was attentive and friendly, with the staff eager to answer questions and offer recommendations. It’s a true neighborhood gem that’s worth a visit.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and so glad we did. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The place is a little outdated and the men’s room was out of service. But the food is made fresh and was worth it. We will be back.

New ownership as of a few weeks ago (late July 2025). This place is great! Not just a fried food spot anymore. Crazy good flavor in the chicken shawarma platter. Just a magnificent pile of fresh and delicious food that is easily two meals. I’d still give this spot five stars if that platter was all they sold. I’ll be back for sure. Can’t wait to try the other platters and the fried chicken options. New owner is coming from NYC and bringing a nice twist on things. This deserves attention.

This place is a gem! Went for lunch with family and it did not disappoint. I was thinking that my kids would get their usual ‘chicken’ meal but they decided to try their kufta over rice and they loved it! We tried their sambusas and those were perfectly seasoned and tasty. Owner and staff were really nice. Will definitely go back in the future.

The food was amazing! I had the fried wings and catfish fillets with heavy lemon pepper. Growing up in Chicago, this is the food I grew up on, so it brought me home. Great food, great sides, fresh taste.
The service was great! The staff was very kind, and made sure my order was right. Really good customer service.
The atmosphere needs some work. There were no tables out, no decor, and the restaurant didn’t appear inviting. However, there is great potential.
