A fairly new establishment at the time of my visit; I was definitely impressed by both the quality and the presentation. I had lunch omakase and everything was right about it. Most likely the best sushi bar in Alhambra.

An awesome new sushi place my friend recommended. A lot of pieces and courses were given. About 20 total. The ambiance was easily one of the best I’ve seen for a sushi place.

Delicious, just make sure you have a reservation. If you have never done omakase before this is an expensive experience. But the chefs and the service are so good. It starts at 300$ per person so you’ve been warned.

Amazing dining experience. First class service with the best omakase I’ve had. Every dish was an amazing and unique experience. In addition, the Sake pairings were done perfectly to match the progression of dishes. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to go back.

True gem! Great addition to La omakase scene! Fish was fresh, right amount of everything, great tasting rice and everything served at the right temperature! My only wish the rice was not as mushi in some sushi but thats just me;)) if you like proper omakase go here! Definitely worth the price and a drive! Also chefs create great friendly atmosphere! Thank you, we will be back!

Loved the whole experience. We went for lunch which was different for us, we usually do the last seating. But lunch was fun and relaxing. Everything was so fresh and we left more than satisfied. We added uni as our last treat. With every penny, chef was generous.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. I had the nigiri omakase: service was sharp and friendly, and Chef Azumi and his team were so thoughtful with how they constructed the meal. Kogane is a worthy and exciting addition to the LA sushi scene, and, in my opinion, already one of the best.

Total experience was amazing. Stopped by during lunch to celebrate and was not disappointed. Im not the biggest uni fan but tried it again here and everything was butter. Everything in the omakase was a hit and nothing tasted fishy.
