We ate at Cubby’s and let me say it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in some time. The rice in our Bender Bowl was hard as a rock and almost chipped my tooth. The soup was mediocre at best and we didn’t end up eating all of it. The only edible part of the meal was the Mango Chicken salad (which by the way we were charged for the wrong size) and the Sweet Potato fry (5/5). Do yourselves a favor and skip this Cubby’s location.

Tried their tri tip chili after the employee said it was good. Decided to try a bowl and it was dinky. The soup had literally FOUR tiny pieces of meat. It was almost $8 for beans in a hot tomato sauce. I weighed it at home, it was 8oz. I wrote this location to make sure I even received the right size since the ‘bowl’ of soup I received was literally the same size as the cup I usually ordered. No response from management so I guess this is a way to air my grievances. In any event, don’t order soup from here cause it’s *crazy* rip off!

It’s going to be a long time before I come back to this location. The evening employees are rude. The woman who took my order through the drive-through asked me to repeat almost everything I said. Then, when she still couldn’t hear me, there were long stretches of silence where she wouldn’t say anything.
When I got to the drive-up window, the cashier said nothing and just held out the payment pad for me to tap, but I was paying with cash. She seemed very annoyed that she had to give me change. While I was waiting for my food, an employee asked if I wanted ice in my drink, and when I said yes, she seemed even more annoyed.
I had really hoped my food would be delicious, but the fries were over-seasoned with their fake rosemary seasoning, and when I bit into my burger, it was raw. I called the store, and talked to the assistant manager, Lucas, who told me that he could give me a refund but since I paid cash I would have to go back to the store. He told me on the phone that he would also give me a gift card for a free burger for my trouble.
When I got there, he had my refund ready but no gift card. I asked if he was still going to still offer a gift card. He seemed hesitant but eventually made the gift card. You’d think it would end there—but it didn’t.
I was in my car about to reverse and leave when the assistant manager ran out to my car and asked for the gift card back because he didn’t think it had actually gone through. I sat in my car waiting almost ten minutes for him to return. I eventually went inside and saw him doing other things. When I asked about the gift card, he told me I would have to come back later in the week and that he or the other manager, Luis, would give me a meal equal to the amount on the gift card. I told him I wasn’t coming back anytime soon because of everything that had happened. I ended up leaving without the gift card at all.
And here’s the kicker—it’s my birthday. I chose Cubby’s because I thought I would get a quality meal on my birthday. Instead, I had to deal with rude staff, biting into a raw burger, having to calling the store, driving back for a refund, and then being told I wouldn’t get the gift card I was promised. I am so disappointed in Cubby’s, and I don’t think I’ll be back

I hadn’t been to Cubby’s in Saratoga for a while, but today I had an amazing experience. I felt very well taken care of, and I really loved the food, it was delicious. While I was finishing my meal, Isa kindly asked me how the food was and if I had any comments or suggestions. That small gesture meant a lot to me and made me feel truly valued as a customer. She was incredibly friendly, and this experience definitely made me want to come back to Cubby’s more often!

Cubby’s, in general, is hilariously overrated. This location is as bad as the others. Let’s discuss why:
1. The prices are insane and I can’t think of a restaurant that’s a worse value. A little salad for $14? A little burger for $11? The icing on the cake is the credit card fee…seriously? It’s 2026 and a chain restaurant has the nerve to charge extra for using a credit card?
2. The service is slow. The girls behind the counter whisper (speak up!) and act like they’re ready to be home. Tonight it took them 15 minutes to make my shake (that was obscenely over priced as we’ve discussed).
3. The quality of the food is nothing special and the portions are extremely small. It’s shocking to me how management hasn’t figured this out by now.

Never again. Cubby’s is a joke.

I’ve always loved Cubby’s but haven’t been for a while. It was nice to be back again. The new menu items were fun to see and I gave the Contractor Fries a try. They were so yummy!! Hot and fresh, the fries were super crispy and the tri-tip was very yummy. I can’t wait to come back and try it again.
