Our waitress was attentive and incredibly helpful. I have been here several times and across the board, it’s a decent restaurant that cares about it’s clients.

Every meal seems a little lacking and leaves you wanting a little bit more but the atmosphere and staff are nice which helps to balance the disappointment.

We ordered the bruschetta as our appetizer, it was enjoyable but more olive forward than we were expecting.

I ordered the arugula salad which did say it had spinach in it. However, it was a mainly spinach salad. I opted to add chicken to it and ask our waitress if the chicken was seasoned and worth the ad and she assured me that it was. Unfortunately it was not seasoned and it was very bland reminding me of the pre-packaged chicken pockets you can buy at Costco. Had I known I wouldn’t have added it as it did not add anything to the salad.

My friend really wanted the brussel sprout salad and apparently they did not have brussel sprouts so it was only romaine salad so she opted for a pasta dish instead. We appreciated our waitress giving us the heads up and confirming that she still wanted the salad with the changes that would be made to it.

We ended the evening by sharing a tiramisu for her birthday along with an espresso martini. The dessert options were nice, but the espresso martini wasn’t traditional; it was more Baileys-forward than expected.

Overall, it’s a decent restaurant for a casual meal but it hasn’t offered anything that would make us eager to return or crave another visit.

Honestly, this is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. From the very first bite to dessert, everything was done right—the kind of care and flavor you don’t come across often anymore. The food was exceptional, the wine paired perfectly, and even dessert felt thoughtfully made, not just an afterthought.

Compliments to the chef for honoring true Italian cooking.

The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, and the service matched it—attentive without being overbearing, which I always appreciate. You can tell this is a place that values tradition and quality over shortcuts.

I only wish we had a restaurant like this back home in Arizona or Kansas. Truly a special spot, and absolutely worth the visit.

Morgan, the server, was awesome. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good but the portion could’ve been bigger. Compared to Olive Garden, Breadsticks come 2nd. I’ll probably return one day but for the pizza. I wish the children weren’t allowed in the setting because we were joined by a family of of 5 whom couldn’t control their children behaviors: running around, crying and whining. It became annoying, lol but I stayed for my dessert. I ate the pasta bolognese, breadsticks, and the maple roasted pecan gelato. The Gelato is delicious! I also drank an long Island iced tea that was tasty.

The main course i felt was the best part of the meal. The meatball appetizer tasted very bland and underwhelming. I’m guessing the pop music was only playing during lunch hours. I liked the server and have no complaints in that department. I liked the atmosphere and could only wonder how much better it would be at a late dinner. I am glad to have had the experience and plan to come back to try the lasagna.

We were a group of six. Although the restaurant was not at all busy, service was a little on the slow side. We got an appetizer of breadsticks with Alfredo sauce – we all agreed they were good.
2 of us got the short ribs with roasted carrots and potatoes. The potatoes were bland but better with the sauce from the short ribs. The short ribs themselves were delicious. Portion size was great. Other people got ravioli, filet medallions, chicken alfredo, and a BYO pizza. All were good and most people had leftovers to take home. We had a coupon for a free dessert, so we ordered tiramisu to share. To be honest, it was pretty gross. I assume it was frozen and thawed, but it was very soggy and when you cut a bite, water squished out the bottom. The flavor was fine but the texture was awful. Very glad we didn’t pay for that! Price range for entrees was about 19 to 38. All in all, this restaurant is decent but it’s not a place that I’d request to go back to.

From start to finish, our experience at this Italian restaurant was fantastic! We were greeted warmly by a friendly hostess, setting the tone for a great meal. Our server, Eli, was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The calamari and shrimp appetizer was cooked to perfection, and the breadsticks were out of this world! For our entrées, I had the chicken parm, and my friend had the meatballs—both were incredibly flavorful and perfectly prepared. The pasta was super fresh, and the pizza was outstanding, loaded with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything tasted like authentic Italian food, which made the experience even better.

Drinks were always kept full, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic and delicious Italian food! We’ll definitely be back!

Plainfield has great Italian! Ate here for the first time on Monday – easy parking, loved the low-lit atmosphere – good music at a good level so we can carry on a conversation.

The server was friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. The chicken parmesan was prepared perfectly – crispy outside and the chicken was tender and juicy inside (every other Italian place on the west side was dry). We’ll be back.

We are from out of town, and we were excited about trying a new place. We got there a few minutes after four, and they were not busy. Our waitress was very slow. We ordered our drinks and two appetizers – meatballs and breadsticks. After waiting 20 minutes, our waitress had not checked on us and we were out of drinks and still did not have our appetizer. We flagged down another waitress who refilled our drinks and told us that the breadsticks usually take 12 minutes, but that she would check on them. We finally got her meatballs and breadsticks, and they were really delicious. My daughter ordered lasagna. It came in a little skillet and was very soupy. When you cut into it, it did not have layers. She said it tasted ok, though. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan. He said his was ok. I ordered the lobster tortellini. I opened up one of the tortellini and there was nothing in it. The tortellini was undercooked, and I think they forgot the lobster. I was afraid to send it back because we had been there too long already. The service was absolutely horrible. So… The appetizers were delicious. Two orders of food were just meh and one was tasteless.

This was our first time eating at Theos. The 4 of us had 4 different dinners. They were all equally horrible. The only good dish was a salad. Even their breadsticks and cheese were bad and the cheese probably came out of a can. The service was very slow even though there were only a few tables occupied. Be prepared to buy a drink as the water tastes terrible and was warm with no ice. We will not go back. For the price, the food should have came from Italy.
