What an amazing place! Nestled along the quaint Main Street of Stafford Springs sits this little ice cream stand. A local guitarist was playing music, plenty of seating, and it was a cool summer evening. The selection of ice cream and soft serve was great. Prices were right on for the quality and quantity of ice cream you get. The staff were genuinely friendly and patient. At one point a staff member came out and wiped off the tables . Just a perfect moment. Watch the classic cars roaring by . Highly recommend this hidden gem.

It is a great ice cream place with excellent choices and there are nice views, there is also great outdoor seating right next to a train track where trains pass pretty often. Recommend it as a ice cream place as it has many flavors. Preferably I like the s’mores flavor.

Boyfriend and I shared a regular sundae with peanut butter chocolate cookie dough ice cream, while our son has 1 scoop of cookie monster. Both were the same size.
Ice cream was delish. We sat at one of the tables along the walkway. Super cute area. Can’t wait to go back!

Update: open for the season, still expensive. $3.75 for 1 scoop and $2.65 for a pup cup
Cute downtown ice cream depot. There’s lots of variety and the staff are always friendly. They do not make their own ice cream. They use Gifford’s and Shady Glen’s.
The strawberry milkshake I ordered once was more like vanilla with a hint of strawberry. They have pup cups. There’s seating outside and sometimes they have live music. The price is definitely marked up compared to other ice cream places in town. It’s very popular with the locals.

Cute little ice cream spot by a stream and railroad tracks in the center of town. Lots of ice cream choices and some unique favors along with the classics. Very rich and flavorful! Friendly staff and clean picnic tables. Parking is on street or there is downtown parking lot within walking distance. Some road noise but they were playing music too which canceled it out a bit.

Every single year I head on down to my favorite ice cream parlor in the world on the first day of its reopening for the season. The Ice Cream Depot is the best ice cream dispenser in town or maybe even in the county! With its wide menu and quick staff, it is the perfect place to take your family. It has reasonable to low prices and you can even sit on one of the very many benches or picnic tables spread down the street. Great views while eating and pleasant members always pass by the joint too. I love how they have gluten free desserts and frozen yogurt, along with sherbert, sorbet, sundaes, sodas, and milkshakes! The flavors are endless and the toppings are amazing as well. The amount of product given is very good too. When there is a long line, it tends to shrink very fast. Parking tends to be tight but there is almost always room. Love the ice cream, it’s the best.

What a cute little spot! Has a timeless vibe. As others have said, it’s great that there are vegan ice cream options, at least one sorbet, and three Italian ice flavors. There are several picnic tables seasoned with the remnants of past summer nights (sprinkles and sticky ice cream drips). The portions are generous. Staff is friendly.
