Ordered a 6 piece with an extra fry. Got rang up charged. Got my food and left. The girl gave me a 4 piece with a total of 1 fry. Not 2 fries. 1. I called twice and btih times ignored and not answered. Wouldn’t recommend. Only reason people go is because its the only thing in Crystal city chicken wise. Don’t recommend cheaper to make your own and get what you sound for without sass or abrasiveness from employees.

The chicken was cold when I bit into a piece and it tasted like old oil.and the dining area was gross mold was present on the air conditioning duct

I recently had my first experience at Golden Chick, and honestly, it was a bit disappointing. I placed my order online around 5:50-5:55 pm, expecting it to be ready in 16 minutes. We arrived about 15 minutes later, but it took over 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. To my surprise, our food wasn’t ready! The young lady behind the counter seemed a bit lost and didn’t start on our order for a couple of minutes.

By 6:35, after waiting over 30 minutes, I asked a team member how much longer it would take. It was frustrating to see other customers arriving, ordering, and leaving with their meals while we were still waiting. I had just ordered two chicken tender meals and a 6-piece wing, so it wasn’t a huge order! One staff member mentioned she was just bagging it up, while another (who seemed to be in management) told me they don’t start online orders until you’re in the restaurant, which contradicts what the website says. She claimed they want to ensure orders are warm for customers, but it felt more like an excuse for the poor service. There was no apology for the wait.

To top it off, the condiments I requested weren’t included, and the rolls were squished flat. Overall, I left feeling quite let down by the experience. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE AND WILLING TO WAIT LONGER THAN THE CUSTOMERS ORDERING AT COUNTER.

This place is iconic, I had never seen it anywhere but Crystal City, Texas, now I see them everywhere, their snack pack with fried chicken breast with spicy crispy fries and a roll is so badass, so tasty, just the right amount for a hungry man. Sometimes I add an Xtra chicken breast, it’s that good!

Was given an incomplete order after I was told they would keep my receipt to make sure they got the order right. Me, like a dummy, trusted the order was correct and assumed the receipt was in my bags. When I got home, 10+ miles away, found the order was short, no receipt, no answer to several p/c attempts & no return call. Paid $47 + change. Expensive, don’t recommend.

My food was okay, but the cashier told me to park by door, due that my meal wasn’t ready. I parked for about 15 minutes and my meal was forgotten. I went inside, showed my receipt, and yes I received my food. They did apologize but understanding they were busy. The cashier who served me, didn’t apologize or consent the other employee fault. But she just keep moving the orders. If I was her, my first response is to apologize even if it isn’t my fault, I would correct the error by assuring the customer that this will not happen again. The customer will be satisfied to correcting the order. We all make mistakes, take action on delivery correct responses.

Very poor attitude and very displeasing to all of us. One girl did try to help. Left my mom standing to order and went to do other things instead of taking her order after taking orders for the rest of us. Not happy at all with this establishment. And kept giving us empty cups…knowing there was no ice in machine.

The chicken was really good, roll was hot and fresh, and the fries were great. They were out of the roasted chicken we were looking for however. Overall, enjoyed our visit and will return next time we’re in the mood for more chicken!

I ate there a couple days ago and let me tell you it was the best service i ever had it felt like i was home. The girls were really nice. The cook in the back he called himself “The Tender King” he would tell my family if the food was good and my kids loved his tenders.
