I hate to leave such a bad review because this just so happens to be my favorite restaurant in town and I eat here at least once a week, but the owners need to be notified that certain workers are ruining the reputation of their establishment and something needs to be done. In just the past few months, I’ve been greeted with nothing but rudeness and hostility. When I eat here in early afternoons, I never have this issue and am always greeted with a smile. In the evenings, though, it is a completely different story. The last time I was here, the teenage boy with dark hair and glasses was cussing at the teenage girls who were helping me. In the same visit, the c02 had run out, so I asked for my drink to be remade. The girl came out and said “I looked at the c02 and it isn’t out so I remade your drink and if it isn’t better then I don’t know what else to tell you and I can give you a refund” and then walked away. I took my two flat sodas home and dumped them. I always greet these kids with a smile, tell them thank you and to have a good day, and try to give them grace because I worked in food as a teenager as well. I don’t know if these teenagers don’t like each other, don’t like their jobs, or a combination of the two, but they should not take it out on their customers(especially regulars who tip every visit).

Southside Scoops isn’t the place it used to be. The prices keep increasing, yet the quality of service keeps decreasing.
If something is wrong with your order, do not waste your time calling because the teens working will gaslight you instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes.
I have ordered the Scoops Burger plenty of times to know it comes with toppings, as it should come being priced at nearly $5.00! Yet to my surprise, when I got home and opened the wrapper, I received just a plain burger and a bun! NEVER have I gotten a plain burger when I’ve ordered the Scoops Burger. I’ve always been asked if I’d like to add cheese, which I always say no, and the other toppings still come on the burger. The employee didn’t ask anything.
When we called and asked, the employee said the Scoops Burger comes with “nothing” on it. We asked what comes on the plain hamburger, and the employee again said “nothing.” If that is the case.. why do you have burgers listed at different prices if each one comes with nothing? You’re telling me a plain hamburger that comes with nothing only costs $2.35, and a Scoops Burger that you say also comes with nothing, costs $5.00? Sneaky way to scam customers out of money!
Ordering food here is no longer worth the cost. It’s sad to say that the fast food chain places in Peru can get your meals correct more than Southside Scoops can nowadays.
If you want to order from Scoops, stick to ice cream products only. You’ll be disappointed every time with the food.

It was about average for ice cream. Decent prices but I was not too impressed with the white chocolate raspberry icecream it tasted grainy and left me disappointed. Banana split and hot fudge Sunday family had were okay.

We’ve been here several times and it’s always been good. The line is always long, but the workers are usually nice. There’s not always a lot of shade for sitting outside and the inside dining area is closed.
However, the burgers are good sized and well-priced. The sugar-free ice cream selection is lovely, including the coffee fudge flavor! We honestly haven’t had anything there that we didn’t like so far. We plan to go back again!

I know it was a decent day for a lot of people to be out yesterday, however we waited so long which can be normal in better weather at any ice cream place or hot dog stand. What was upsetting was finally getting to the window and then waiting an additional 15 mins and never even talked to like a “we will be right with you or anything.” Then because of scheduling, we had to leave to find what looked like a man who supposedly works there with work attire just standing outside talking to someone else. I enjoy going there, but if service continues like that, I will have to write it off as a place to go.

Bad service we was there on 719/25 at 6:45 p.m. and the girl working the drive thru has one bad attitude. Then when they bring our ice cream out the shake was more Milk then ice cream.
