At $24 for a large pepperoni you’d expect pepperoni…
3-4 slices of small pepperoni is a sin, load that jawn up if your gonna charge that much.
Or stop buying the expensive so the cost is justifiable.
I do not reccomend this spot.

Easily the best pizza in the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods. It’s hard not to crush the whole thing in my car on the drive down Shurs.

Original owner back in the day was 5 star all day for food and prices. They closed and opened and changed hands and just not the same and prices through the roof. Staff friendly and place is clean. Pizza pretty good too greasy and floppy for my liking. 1 thing they don’t skimp on cheese!!!

Thin crust is so good! Sauce is sweet and in a cool spiral pattern. The guys in the store were really nice and the pie was ready quickly. Glad to add a good pizzeria to the neighborhood!

Alex’s Pizza is a small family owned corner pizzaria within Roxborough. We ordered online for pick up as there isn’t a dine in option. Our pizza was fresh out of the oven when we arrived. We got a large pepperoni pizza with a side of sauce. The pizza was thin crust; nice and crispy. There was a generous amount of sauce on the pie compared to a lot of other pizzarias these days. The sauce on the pie was a little sweet but was not overpowering. The pepperoni were smaller rounds but they were cut thicker to still have a nice bite. The side of sauce that we also ordered was a little saltier than how it tasted when on the pie.
Overall the pizza was delicious, just a tad greasy, but what good pizza doesn’t have some grease on top of each slice. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

First time having Alex’s Pizza and it was excellent! Saw them on Instagram and added them to the long list of pizza shops in the area we want to try. Little corner shop that is take out only. Definitely a legit old school pizza place that had a face-lift last year (from what I read). Staff was friendly when we walked in to order (as we didn’t know if dine in was an option). In 15 minutes we had our original piping hot large pie. A 30 minute ride home and it was that perfect cooled down temp ready to eat. Thinner crust that’s crispy at the edges, good cheese to sauce ratio, sauce has a good flavor, and an overall lightweight pizza that doesnt make you feel like “bleh” after eating 3 slices. A solid pizza, well done, Alex’s. Highly recommend!

Finally got around to trying this place after months of getting influenced on IG… immediately vaulted into one of my favorite Philly pizzas. Thin, crispy, saucy and cheesy. Just the way pizza should be.
Putting the little pizza tables on the rail outside is a nice touch. Will try out some toppings next time.
