We ordered two burgers and found them enjoyable. Good buns and fixings. About $50 with tax and tip. See notes below.
A little too much salt on the fries for my personal taste.
I normally tip 20%, but today, I just left a five dollar tip. No big deal but I needed to get water for the table myself and the coffee we ordered didn’t come. Perhaps they were just slammed with too many tables to service,
Everyone was super nice here.
Recommended.

Ordered:
Chips/Salsa – chips were good, gave us a red salsa which was more sweet and tomato forward, which isn’t bad but not for me
Ribeye Tacos – unique, I liked these. The tortillas also have crispy cheese on the outside
Beef Fajita – beef wasn’t really flavored well, pretty bland. Fajita veggies were good though. Corn tortillas were so-so
Shrimp Salad – pretty good. They add a lot of shrimp, seasoned well
Chicken Tortilla Soup – okay, missing things I would typically like to see in the soup (corn, cilantro, onions, tomato)
Overall, not bad for a small town.

This place is truly something else. The people are extremely friendly, the food is super good (As someone from AZ, trust me I know good Mexican food), and the space is super neat! We’ve been to Silverton 3 times this year and have come back for dinner almost every night during our time here. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The Pastor Pork tacos are to die for but so is everything on the menu! Chips and salsa are great too, no store bought stuff. The only only thing i’d recommend is a bigger portion of guacamole (super delicious btw) because it is $12 and we never got a refill (we did on the salsa). Other than that we’ve been nothing but happy with this place and will return for our trip next spring!! 🙂

Chicken nachos were tasty! I find there’s a huge difference between fresh jalapeños and canned though, and I wasn’t super stoked on the canned ones that came with these nachos. Overall, good meal at a reasonable price (for Silverton).

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm smile. A familiar warmth as the owner spent some time in TX. As a dallas native I had the pleasure of visiting his other location in Addison,TX(cinco tacos). This is by far the best food I’ve had in Colorado. Delicious Tex Mex flavor very hard to find in the area. I recommend the taco soup. Get the bowl as the cup will not suffice it’ll just leave you craving for more.

The building has been nicely restored and the service was good. The food is disappointing and overpriced. It is not great quality and the serving sizes are not proportianate to the price. $10 for a few tortilla chips and flavorless queso. It should at least also come with salsa for that price. A burrito with beans & veggies that was $18, was more tortilla than filling and barely enough for one person to eat. Not a place I’d recommend if you’re visiting Silverton.

Interesting little town (center of town is all dirt roads). Service was great (Louise?) Just travelling through. The bowls were very good. Not authentic Mexican food but good just the same.

Third time visiting Silverton. Third time having the carne asada quesadilla and it’s fabulous everytime. Hope it never changes for next time. Watch out for the train rush around lunchtime. Fun decor inside. Friendly staff. They had two hearted as a bonus! 10/10 would recommend.

We ate here last night on our way back from riding around Lake Como trails. The atmosphere is small & unique fitting more for the smaller town of Silverton, than a Mexican restaurant.
The service was fairly quit & attentive. The chips & salsa was some of the best salsa I’ve had! A few of us ordered the pastor tacos & they had really good flavor. I wish the pork was a little more tender. We would eat here again.

Took the Durango Silverton Narrow gauge steam engine and had a fabulous lunch at El Bandito! Their house marguerites were terrific and the ribeye taco specialty was amazing. The tortilla soup was fully loaded with their homemade tortilla chips, guac, and sour cream. Delicious!! But the side of Street Corn was the best ever!
