This was my second time coming to Ellie’s. The first time it took nearly 30 min for two bagel sandwiches and 2 coffees. The food wasn’t bad but compared to Terry’s Cafe it was just ok. This time around we ordered the same thing and after 20 min of waiting, our name was called to tell us they ran out of the bagels for both our orders. I understand items run out and that isn’t my issue. My issue is that cafes have always told me they were out of something BEFORE finishing the order. We ended up leaving with a refund.
As far as atmosphere, there’s little room to wait inside with three tables that have four chairs each. There seems to always be no less than six people behind the counter taking orders and cooking them but somehow the wait time is always excessive.

First time here after hearing good things. Unfortunately things were not so good, I ordered a dozen bagels and cream cheese, they told me to sit and wait, this was first thing Sunday morning, no one else was in the store. Bad enough this cost $36, but again, I have never waited to get a dozen bagels at any bagel place, they usually bag them right up and give them too you, they were super nice, but the girl taking the orders, just stood there, not sure why she couldn’t just bag up bagels, but I thought, hmm, maybe they are slicing and toasting, that would be nice, finally after 15-20 minutes, someone brings me the bag, I see they are cold and unsliced, but I just wanted to leave, I get home, supposed to be a bakers dozen(per their website) and I got 10 bagels, the two flavors I wanted the most, weren’t there, so I will not be returning back to this place, make sure you CHECK your orders before leaving the store!!!!

Ellies Cafe is great! The employees and there fresh breakfast and lunch/brunch options are made with love and care. The place is like one of those cool inner city places with plenty of seating. If you like a place that you can relax and eat a muffin or a bagel and have a coffee you will like Ellies Cafe!

I work down the street and frequent Ellie’s often. The food is always great and am always satisfied. Staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome.

I want to point out how many chain restaurants are in this area. They’re on every corner and fill all of the space in between. It’s great to have an option like Ellie’s where you can get actual food. It’s the perfect staple for the area.

Ellie’s Café is a popular spot that has been suggested to me as a “must try”by a few peeps. I finally had the chance to try it with my friend Dina.

It’s in an older strip mall, but don’t let that fool you. It’s very nice and inviting inside. What first caught my eye was a collection box for non-perishable food at the front counter signaling that the owners care about their community. Love it!

There was enough seating for a few patrons. We took the back table near the bagel bins. The menu had us stumped for a bit as there were quite a few choices. I tried not to use too many weight watcher points by skipping the cheese, but how do I fairly review the sandwich if it doesn’t have cheese? I can’t. So I ordered an everything bagel with turkey sausage, egg, and American cheese. Dina got the pork roll and cheese on a plain bagel. Both were delicious. And the coffee was a medium roast by LaColombe – perfect.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Regulars came in and out.

We recommend you give them a try. I think I would like to try a lunch item next time.

After hiking with my dogs I wanted a coffee and was a little hungry. I am not a fan of chain store coffee so I looked on Google for a place. I am so glad Ellie’s Cafe was the closest to me.

All of the associates working were very polite and took the time to say hello. I got the jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was amazing!! I felt like I was getting a true New York bagel…IYKYK! I also got a cold brew coffee which was also very good!

I love to find wonderful small business and this one did not disappoint!

First time going and it was great! We got the French toast sandwich and the crunchy stuffed French toast ✨ it also wasn’t a bad price only paid like $20-$25, of course with a tip but that’s like $10 a person or meal. I’m definitely going to try more next time I go.

This was a very good bagel sandwich! They will scramble the egg or fry it… a little touch, but that’s really nice! Bagels are huge and the sandwich was a full meal. The bacon isn’t cheap thin bacon, it was thicker and had some weight to it. Also a nice touch. Staff was kidding around with customers and it looks like a host of regular people coming in, that’s a very good sign. The outside is nothing special, as it is within a shopping plaza at the end, but it’s what is inside that matters. I’ll be back!

After the gym I decided to stop by Eli’s cafe to pick something up for my boyfriend and I since our usual spot is closed on Mondays. We got the chicken Cesar wrap and the chicken sandwich and we were not impressed with the quality of the food. For starters the chips we were given were stale, and the chicken was bland and rubbery. I personally could not finish my chicken Cesar wrap because the taste of the grill was so overwhelming. I’d rather go to our usual spot verdant cafe it’s a little more expensive but it’s totally worth your money as the quality of the dishes can’t compare to Eli’s.
