Had a discussion about the Hogfish Sandwich situation with the owner Jeff on Facebook…I’d said that the best Hogfish Sandwich is at the Hogfish Bar and Grill down in KeyWest. Jeff suggested that I try his version of the Sandwich the next time we got to Clearwater Beach.
HoggDaddy’s has a great sports bar vibe and we watched some basketball games while we waited for our food to be delivered. The live band playing was very good (and I think one of our servers said Jeff was in the band..it was loud so I may have heard that wrong). Our servers had a misunderstanding and our food was delayed…then re-made fresh…Brett and Jacqueline (sp?) were very busy and busting their rears so we understood how that happened, they gave us a discount, which was appreciated but we didn’t ask for or make a fuss about…like I said, we understood.
Atmosphere was fun, the staff was amazing….so, how was the sandwich?
Terri ordered the Hangover Burger and the egg was a bit overdone but still a great burger she said….the fries were thick cut and very good as well.
The Hogfish Sandwich…the Hogfish itself was a good flaky piece of fish and exactly what I was expecting, the onions gave it a kick it needs, and the aioli sauce was a good touch (needs just a bit more in my opinion) the final touch was the local Cuban bread its served on…that is a fantastic!
It ranks right up there with the one I said was the best!!!

What a place! Located at the bottom of the Sand Key Bridge, me and some work colleagues were looking for a nice pub close to our hotel while we were in town for a work trip. Little did we know we’d stumble upon this gem. You can tell this place is loved by the locals, who turned up in droves. TVs everywhere, playing all the important stuff, good vibes, and an excellent waitress called Lex. What she lacked in understanding of why the Pub is called Hogg Daddy’s, she made up in everything else. She might even be the best waitress this side of the Mississippi River. Me and the lads strolled in looking for a nice feed where we could also sink some tins and watch some blokes throw the pigskin around, and this place delivered! We even came back the day after.. and the day after that! 3 days in a row. I basically drank them dry (almost consumed all their Blue Moon 0%ers – they still had a couple left).
If we’re ever back in Clearwater for a work trip, then I’ll be clearing the calendar and coming back!

This place has made a total turn around! Fun, good food and great for sports and games (pool)! The owner and staff are awesome! What should you order??? Bourbon Chicken Bowl, Pulled pork, homemade empanadas and they now have pizza! Enjoy!

Where do I even start? From the moment we were sat by the host, things went downhill fast. We waited at least 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our table — no greeting, no water, nothing. It honestly felt like we were invisible.
When the server finally came over, the service didn’t improve. The staff seemed completely disorganized, and several employees appeared intoxicated, which made the whole experience uncomfortable and unprofessional.
The food? Absolutely terrible. Overcooked, under-seasoned, and honestly just disappointing across the board. It felt rushed and careless.
To make matters worse, none of the table caddies were stocked — no napkins, no condiments, nothing. The bar was completely empty, which should’ve been our first red flag.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Poor service, bad food, and an unprofessional atmosphere. I won’t be returning.

Saturday night, pretty busy but got seated right away. It’s very noisy inside. The fried pickles/peppers and Beach nachos were great! Wings, potato skins and hush puppies were just ok. Service was great – fast and friendly.

Burger was nice. Fish sandwich that’s was ordered was nice but more fish for the bread would have been pleasant. The Cuban it came on was delicious though so and thought maybe the option for dressing (LTOP) should be offered too. My girlfriend and I moved to Clearwater area in October. As a die hard Steelers fan, I was looking for somewhere to watch the game. We found Hogg Daddy’s and it quickly became our favorite spot. The food is amazing, the staff is so accommodating and welcoming, Johnny was always so welcoming and on point bartending. The owner is so loyal to his customers and is always grinding to provide a great atmosphere for everyone. This staff you can’t say enough good things about. One visit here and it will become your favorite spot. This is always our go to now!! Thanks to all of Hogg Daddy’s for providing a great atmosphere we greatly appreciate you!

Skated the cheese burger sliders and BBQ pork sliders. You get three per order.
The burgers were cooked perfectly, just slightly pink in the middle and had a very good flavor. The only thing that would make them better, in my opinion would be grilled onions.
Three BBQ pork was tender and the sauce is not too smokey and not too sweet, a very balanced flavor.
Very reasonably priced and no fee atmosphere.
Definitely put this on your list of places to try!!

Wow, what a disappointment! We decided to get a carry out from this place to try it out and what we got was NOTHING like the menu described. We ordered the “seafood bar junk”and what we received was FAR from what they described on the menu (next to NO sauce, very little seafood and I’m pretty sure the “garlic toast” was Wonder Bread with a little bit of butter & garlic). The price we paid would have been better spent at ANY other restaurant! This place needs to step it up or it will close down very quickly!! Don’t waste your time or money here!
