I had such a disappointing visit today that I had to write this review. I tried to reach the owner Michael because this seemed to be a problem with the cook, not the server, but the owner is not accessible. I waited 27 min for a takeout order consisting of 3 breakfast reubens that included requested “crispy” home fries. I guess the cook doesn’t like that because I waited the 27 minutes while other orders were placed, made, and handed to the customer all AFTER us. I even asked the server to confirm that my order was entered after waiting 20 minutes. I was told that the request of “crispy” home fries “takes a while”, then I was given totally burnt, inedible mush for home fries.(See pics) It’s not worth the effort but we would love to deliver them to the owner Michael in PSL. We are just too courteous to put his address here. It’s in the Property Appraiser website though. SMH.

After fasting for bloodwork, we were looking for a place nearby to grab some breakfast. We checked Google and found this little gem. It was a Friday morning and it was actually a little busy. The server was fantastic, wish I remembered her name. Dave had a country Benedict with English muffin, sausage and gravy and I had the breakfast wrap. All was very good. We are always looking for mom and pop place for breakfast and this fit the bill. Since it only about 10 mins from our home, it might be a regular weekend thing for us!

Our food was great but the waitress was there all by herself on a Sunday morning. She was hustling, but thats alot to do alone. It took almost an hour to finally get our breakfast, which is not fun with a table full of kids.

If breakfast is the focus of this place, definitely avoid it if you are hungry in the early hours.
We wanted to try new place So we gave Ruben’s a try since the website said 6:30 AM opening.We get there at 6:25 AM. wait five minutes walk to the door and the very nice waitress tells us they don’t open until 7 AM. Apparently they didn’t tell the folks in cyber land. To make matters worse as we were walking back to our car, we noticed the gentleman walking in and sat at the bar waiting to be served at 6:30 AM. Very upsetting so we decided to go to a restaurant that’s open 24 seven on US one.
