There is a lot of choice of pizzas but every pizza is made with care and you can taste that.
The price of the pizza is good (about €13 for a pizza), no tourist prices like in the center.
The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant is very nice, there is a cozy vibe. l’ideale is outside the center but recommended.
You can also take a nice walk along the lake if you walk from the city center to l’ideale
I had the pleasure of visiting the fantastic Italian restaurant „L‘ideale“ in Como. What impressed me the most was the Neapolitan pizza, especially the Pizza Italia. It was simply phenomenal!
The dough was perfectly crispy, baked just right, and prepared in a healthy manner. The fresh, high-quality ingredients harmonized wonderfully, making every bite a delight. The balance between the fruity tomato sauce, tender mozzarella, and aromatic basil leaves was perfect.
The restaurant’s ambiance is cozy and stylish, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, it was an unforgettable culinary experience that I highly recommend to everyone.
“Oh my god do people really complain about too much food??” (Actual response)
Yes. People are going to complain about your restaurant recommending they buy enough food for 4 people when only 2 are dining. Not everyones hotel comes with a Refridgerater for leftovers.
The complaint was that i spent twice as much money as i needed to and THEREFORE got twice as much food as i needed, and i observed the table next to us have a similar issue. I had already asked about the serving size before ordering and was mislead. 2 tables were tricked into spending more money than necessary. Not really sure what this buisiness thinks it is doing by leaving a reply like THAT to a legitimate review, but it really does tell all you need to know about this place.)))
Asked what size the pizzas were, waitress told us they were “for one person” so my husband and i ordered 2.
When the pizzas came out, they were nearly 14 inches. Granted, they are very thin, however i watched the couple next to us order 2 pizzas and the woman barely finished half, while the man also struggled to eat the whole thing. These pizzas are EASILY shareable if youre not absolutely starving.
We had some issues getting a bill broken up aswell but maybe they just didnt have the change for it.
Overall ambience was nice, food was okay, but definitely dont get 2 pizzas unless you normally eat a LOT of food. Im really not sure how the average person could finish this in one go.
The vibe of this place is timeless—photos of Italian actors and actresses, those Hollywood big shots, and the music! The music was soulful; I was eating and dancing! Lunch was definitely a hit!
I devoured it.
– And this comes from somebody who is veeeeery picky when it comes to pizza and claims that one can only find and eat good pizza in Roma and Napoli.
I stand corrected.
(This never happens fyi.)
