Wow! What a great little spot to grab a bite! The food was amazing! The service, superb! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The taste and the quality of the food was fantastic. The prices! Wow! How is everything so inexpensive!? They could easily get away with charging 3 – 4 times what they are charging. I went all out and over-ordered and my entire meal, drink and all, was less than 10 bucks. Where are you gonna get fed for those prices? In this economy? Forget about it! No, Pegs diner is an absolute gem and I will for sure be back to try everything on the menu!

Of all the diners I’ve been to, Peg’s makes me feel like I’ve transported to a time only my parents knew. The place is flooded by regulars that the staff know by name, the griddle top is always sizzling with bacon, pancakes, and the best dang french toast I’ve had in ages. If I could give 6, or even 10 stars, I would. I will be coming back here for as long as it’s around, or hell as long as I’m around.

No frills quaint diner (in old railroad car I believe) with incredibly low prices. My breakfast order – 2 eggs easy over, wheat toast, great 4 pieces bacon and French toast (substituted for me since they were out of home fries) and coffee and wife’s cheeseburger and great fries and Cole slaw came to just over $16 with tax. Only seats approximately 2 dozen. Will definitely hit diner again when visiting from upstate NY.

Perfect, exquisite, would give it ten stars if I could
– You sit at a bar that was built good in the 1930s and hasn’t needed to be rebuilt since and the kitchens right there. The whole diner is probably 8 feet wide
– the three guys working there all appear to be related and kept calling each other ugly
– A customer appears to have come by just to chat and do comedy bits with the employees
– Cook takes your plate and says good job for finishing your food
– cash only, so they give directions down to the bank: “aren’t the first, won’t be the last!”
– whole breakfast is 7.25

Not being from the area, I had wanted to visit Peg’s for a long time to check out this vintage Worcester Lunch Car diner. When I visited in February 2020, I found it to be a very friendly old-school diner. The diner is small, with counter seats and four tables. Many of the original features of the diner are still intact, like the original porcelain wall panels inside, as well as the intricate mosaic tile floor and the original stools and tables. The cook (Peg’s son) was very friendly, and he cooked me a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and grilled corn muffin. The coffee was great. I really enjoyed the experience, and the prices were great. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area.

This place is charmed history where they serve simple tasty food at fair prices. Everyone is welcome and the chatter between brothers and other fella quirky. Probably more mother goose than Gordon Ramsey. But I will keep going.
