Reviews
One of the biggest standouts at H Latin Food is their mixed drinks. Each cocktail is deliciously crafted, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The drinks perfectly complement the food and elevate the entire dining experience. It’s clear that just as much passion goes into the bar as the kitchen.
Service is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every visit feel memorable. For anyone in or around Haughton looking for a great meal, unique flavors, and a fun dining atmosphere, H Latin Food is absolutely worth the stop. This restaurant isn’t just good—it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
And now they opening a bar connected to the restaurant that looks and sounds very promising!!!!!
They offer a delightful and diverse culinary experience. This restaurant stands out for its unique approach, blending various Latin American cuisines into a menu that caters to a wide range of tastes. It’s not just your typical Mexican restaurant; it’s a journey through the flavors of Honduras, Brazil, the Caribbean, and beyond.
The portions are soooooo generous !!!!!!!!! The manager is so amazing !!!! he is the one who developing the menu and he’s doing really good the food is so delicious you will take it out with you without a doubt !!!!!
It’s better than driving all the way into town and the service is slow like there can be three customers in the restaurant and you have to wait for the waiter or waitress to come and help you and I don’t know what they’re busy doing because they’re not that busy.
This was around 4:30 in the afternoon.
Good food for fair price.
Service could be a little faster.
Chips & salsa are brought out quickly to the table and are enjoyable. The chips are a medium thickness yellow corn. The salsa is a simple red canned tomato based with garlic powder hints. It won’t win any awards but it’s certainly better than some around.
On my first trip, I tried the Brazilian Moqueca or shrimp stew. I enjoyed it but felt like the portion was too small to make a full meal. It reminded of Thai food which I love.
On my second trip, I ordered the Cena Honduras Dinner. It consisted of skirt steak, 2 fried eggs, rice, sliced avocados, black bean soup, & grilled plantains. It was quite a melting pot of flavors which I would definitely order again. This time it was more than enough food and I left stuffed.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed her burrito bowl and my daughter her house salad.
Service has always been excellent and I had a chance to meet one of the owners on our first trip.
H is a unique place that I would hate to see go away. I will definitely be back again!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the local area. A TRUE hidden gem. My spouse and I are from Alabama and we could sense the food was going to be amazing because the aromas met us in the parking lot. Speaking of parking lot, there’s plenty of parking with mobility impaired parking spaces available as well.
We tried several items on the menu because everything looked amazing. The menu is FULL of different options from different countries. Chips and salsa were complimentary. We had 2 orders of birria tacos, 1 order of Cajun pupusas, and 1 order of Plato Feliz (w/chicken, steak, bell peppers, and onions). I simply couldn’t pick a favorite. It was all well seasoned, well cooked, and plated in large portions… 10/10 recommend!
Side note- the birria tacos came with 3 tacos, Mexican rice, and beans… you won’t find this bean recipe anywhere else in the local area. My spouse is a foodie, and is rarely impressed with cooking outside of her own. She called over one of the managers (Ceasar) and personally thanked him for a job well done.
Ceasar was diligently engaged with the customers and assisting his staff as needed. He mentioned they also have a huge party room that can fit up to 90 people.
They have deals through the week too.
Staff were attentive and friendly. Music was playing which created a vibe. The next BEST part was that we spent less than $70 for all that we ordered before tipping 20% (which we chose to do since the service was exceptional).
I’m already recommending this restaurant for my next work center’s lunch out. Definitely try them. They have something each member of the family would enjoy.
I forgot to check for vegan/vegetarian options. I’ll do so on my next visit in the near future.
At the time they were also hosting a corporate party, and it looked a lot of fun as well. Would come back !
