This place is a total vibe! It’s in a beautiful historic building on mainstreet. The service here is phenomenal and the food is to die for. My mother got her a BLT on toast and a coffee called The Bandit. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on toast, a caramel frappe, and a cinnamon roll. The drinks were blended perfectly and tasted amazing. This frappe was the best frappe I’ve ever had in my life, and the cinnamon roll was right there with Cinnabon in quality of flavor. When it’s warmed up it melts in you mouth. Starbucks has nothing on Mercantile Coffee and feed.

This is my absolute favorite place to come get a morning coffee with my dad! The people are always so nice and the wait time, i never cared for! I’d wait for half an hour if it meant i got this delicious coffee! Making these coffees with love can take time which is why it’s always as good as the last time.

This is a great big open barn of a place, it’s an old mercantile store space with plenty of tables and lots of room for kids to play in while you sip your coffee and pretend you’re hobnobbing with intellectuals in Paris over your coffee. Their sandwiches are excellent, and the pastries are sweet and creative.

Great local place. We decided to stop by for a break in the work day. The Cafe has a variety of seating. If you want to sit at a table and do some work, it is a quiet, nice workspace. If you want to relax on a comfy sofa chair with an end table for your coffee and cake you can come right in and get comfortable. The menu is fresh and appealing. There are a variety of sweets and sandwiches. But I highly recommend grabbing one of their designer, delicious, one of a kind coffee drinks.

Moved to Nicholasville about 2 months ago and found this coffee shop. It was great when we first moved there (better than Starbucks). The drinks and food were better for cheaper.

Went recently and got the “sticky bandit” and a warm scone. The scone wasn’t heated up and the sticky bandit was so sweet I couldn’t drink it. So I asked for a plain cold brew and it might as well have been coffee flavored water.

I loved it a few months ago, maybe new people are working there now. But it’s not the same

I popped into Mercantile Coffee on Friday morning before an event at my kids’ school, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the blackberry latte and the fall biscuit with country ham and apple butter… both were incredible. The flavors were cozy, creative, and absolutely perfect for the season.

The owner was behind the counter crafting each drink with so much care, and you can really taste that attention to detail. There was a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it for something made fresh and thoughtfully.

I can’t wait to go back the next time I have a free morning. Nicholasville is lucky to have a spot like this! ☕

When I tell you I stumbled into my dream coffee shop, I mean it. I googled coffee near me and parked and got transported to a cozy and inviting place. The space is large but had nice seating areas all over. The menu is right there so you can figure out what you want without feeling anxious or rushed at the counter. They have hot homemade sandwiches that feed your soul as well as your stomach. I purchased the sausage, egg, and cheese on toast with Vermont Cheddar. *chef’s kiss* I also found out I like Gregory Alan Isakov as it was playing beautifully at the perfect noise level. And to top it all off, the staff were super nice and accommodating. I wanted to recreate the dreaded corporate “S” brand’s discontinued Toffee Nut latte, and they were so sweet about it and wanted to figure it out too. (I recommend butterscotch + hazelnut!) This coffee blew the chain out of the water, as rightfully expected. I had a moment to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and I wanted to figure out when I could come back again and show it off to friends. I also left with a cozy T-shirt that was for sale in the shop inside as well. I don’t think I want to go anywhere else for coffee now.

For a while, most cities in central Kentucky (With the exception of Nicholasville) have had a fun, quirky little coffee shop on its main drag serving all your favorite coffee drinks along with sweets and upscale sandwiches. With the addition of The Mercantile to its Main Street, Nicholasville has now joined the crowd. When I stopped by around 9:30 AM on a Saturday there was a good crowd. I ordered the sausage, eggs and cheese breakfast sandwich on Texas toast. The eggs were scrambled with melted cheese, The eggs along with salty sausage patties and buttery Texas toast made for the perfect breakfast bite. There is parking on Main Street and a lot across the street. You can also park in lots on 1st Street and enter through the back. But no matter how you enter, you will not leave disappointed.

I love this place, the sandwiches and coffees are really good! The service is great, there is only one thing I would like them to consider, I went with my 9 months old baby and they didn’t have a high chair neither a charging station in the bathroom, thankfully we didn’t need to change my baby’s diaper. But overall is good, just not baby friendly.

This unique and cute coffee and sandwich shop is located in the heart of Nicholasville on Main Street. There is street parking, parking across the street and additional parking in the rear. They have a delicious variety of coffee’s, pastries and their new lunch menu is so good. Stay and enjoy the unique environment, buy some novelties, or take your food and coffee to go. The festive decor makes a cozy environment. We love the vibe and the service is wonderful.
