Mama Cella’s Italian restaurant feels like a treasure passed down through generations, offering authentic Italian flavours that truly shine. From the very first bite of the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, I was in love! The dish is creamy and rich in flavor, a perfect example of classic Italian cuisine.
However, I found the meatballs to be a tad salty when eaten on their own. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, eager to share their knowledge about the food and the restaurant. The cleanliness of the establishment was also impressive, which added to the overall dining experience.
Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable! I would definitely recommend Mama Cella’s, and it will be my go-to spot whenever I’m craving Italian food!

Quaint old style Italian restaurant with emphasis on quality of service and ingredients. Thursdays are a busy time around 6 to 8 and low table count means best to call or get there early. Service is excellent and food portions are perfect. Food quality is excellent. Fettuccine Alfredo was rich and flavourful without being overpowering. Chicken Parm was delicious with just the right amount of breading. All of our dinner guests agreed we’d order our respective choices again. We’ve found a new favourite local Italian restaurant.

Nice little family run Italian restaurant in Rancho Bernardo that my friend recommended to us. It’s small so it’s best to make reservations in advance. We were lucky to snag their last table on a Friday evening.
Service was stellar. Everyone was friendly and warm. We were checked on often and our dishes arrived in a timely manner.
The food was hit or miss. I ordered the clam linguine with spicy red sauce. It was on the heavy side and loaded with clams, but a bit plain. The clams didn’t taste fresh.
We also ordered the chicken parmigiana and that was pretty good. The chicken was moist and crispy.
The garlic bread was delicious. Really enjoyed that.
We ordered the tiramisu for dessert. It’s one of my favorite desserts but theirs was pretty plain. And I didn’t like all those shaved almonds on top. Overkill and that’s all I was tasting over a plain tiramisu.

Went in there on a busy Friday night. Table for 6. Great food, great service, and the feeling of being comfortable… One of us had Alfredo cheese ravioli and this was pretty tasty. We tried the fried zucchini and fried mushrooms. Another seriously tasty dish.
The marinara and the meat sauce are like being home on Long Island. Will be visiting there and working my way through the menu. Thanks

Mama Cella’s is reminiscent of the classic and homestyle restaurants one might find on vacation in Italy. The atmosphere inside has a cozy and old-world charm. But what’s most impressive is the food, which speaks for itself. It’s very delicious and addictive, to say the least. I highly recommend it and will come back again one day!
