Overall this place was amazing. You get your food pretty fast. Benedict omelet was great. The potatoes have comino seasoning but they’re amazing, just never had a place do that before. Nutella pancakes!

Walked into a clean establishment. We were not greeted by the two girls behind the counter. When we walked up to the counter one asked what we would like to order. So we did. Ordered for 2 ppl on a Thursday mid morning. The pancakes were the best thing in large portion and taste. Everything else: the breakfast potatoes, eggs, chicken salads, were just blah or ok. I would not recommend ordering them. Strange thing is when I ordered the 2 different chicken salads the girl at the register asked what type of dressing did I want??? And gave me , as she called it– one thousand Island dressing. Hmm ok. Food came out swiftly. But be aware, there are NO public restrooms in this restaurant. You have to walk to the end of the block to the public restrooms by the square. Not much of an atmosphere to mention. I honestly do not know how they earned a 4.6 rating. It’s the only reason we stopped in. Will not waste our time next trip this way.

Celebrity Diner and Bakery is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. The menu has something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a classic diner meal, or a fresh-baked treat.
I ordered the breakfast potatoes with a Tex Mex omelet and they were perfectly seasoned—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a refreshing touch, and the portions were generous. Everything tasted homemade and made with care.
Even though it gets busy on weekends, the short wait is well worth it. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Celebrity Diner and Bakery is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal. I’ll definitely be back—5 stars all the way!

Had a basic breakfast platter and cinnamon swirl pancake. The biscuit was toasted on the inside however arrived cold and was also very dry. The bacon was almost burnt to a crisp and the potatoes had some seasoning that was not listed..I believe it was Adobe which I’m not a fan of and was overwhelming. The poached eggs were also hard and overcooked..no nice n thick oozy jelly texture . The cinnamon swirl pancake was good.

We went after church for the Wagyu Brunch Burger and Avocado Toast with a side of biscuits and gravy to split. Everything was delicious and hot! Very sweet and friendly staff. 100% agree this place is a hidden gem!

Take it with a grain of salt, because I’m not from the south, but I ate the best biscuits and gravy that I’ve ever had here today. The biscuits were fresh, had a little toast to them and were delicious. Their side potatoes here shine even next to the mains. The waffle stack they served us was divine and the avocado toast was well beyond expectations. All for great prices!!
It’s a small place, so you might have to wait, but it is well worth the wait. No decaf coffee, but that made me try their unsweet and sweet teas. Their staff were all kind and/or funny and were all bustin’ their butts. You’re a block away from the center of this super cute little historical town center with basically a castle in the middle!

Celebrity Diner and Bakery in downtown Waxahachie was absolutely amazing! I had the hand over sandwich and it was really one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The coffee was delicious and the owner is great and came by each table to make sure you were doing good. One of the best places in Waxahachie!

Honestly one of the best Mexican Benedicts I’ve ever had. Savory, spicy, and really well balanced flavors. Self serve coffee is great for folks like me who drink a lot of coffee, and the staff lets you know when there’s a fresh carafe. Sides are also solid and well seasoned.
