I ordered the All American Thursday Special for Thanksgiving. Jennifer, who took my order over the phone on Tuesday, was so very helpful; she gave me her contact information to ensure that I got my order on time. I showed up at about 11:45 on Thanksgiving day and was greeted by very friendly staff, who informed me that my food was being prepped. The person who was checking us out charged us the regular rate and not the special rate. When notified, she called her manager and changed it without any pushback. We got good food for a great price and great service! Thank you!

Anyone who has grown up eating real Famous Dave’s would give this a zero is possible. Not one single menu item is made in the way Dave Anderson makes it anywhere else in the country. What you will experience is the Famous Icky Dickies nasty BBQ of Texas. There isn’t a place that can cook real Famous Dave’s BBQ in the whole state of Texas because what the people call BBQ here is nothing but carelessly smoked meat brisket or pork the BBQ in Texas is nothing to brag about. If anyone ever says a place is good ask if the one rating it was born in Texas because they most likely have nothing but bad to compare bad to and wrongly believe what they have eaten was anything close to good. The Wilber Beans were totally different beans with none of the recipe that makes them want they really are. If you happen to be in Doral Florida do Dave a favor eat his full real menu.

Famous Dave’s is a hard pass for this stick burning guy. Ordering in-person was a definite struggle because there was no-one at the counter. After about a 5 minute wait I moved the 6 or 7 feet around the counter to the Carinos counter and got the rolled eye from the lady standing there not doing anything. She took my order: 2 brisket sandwiches, 1 order of fries and we took a seat. 30 minutes in my bride checked on the order and still nothing. Did I mention they were dead for business. They finally brought some orders up where they sat. Again, my wife asked, they checked and our order was there. When we got home, about 3 miles from there, the order was stone cold. Also, my wife’s sandwich was nothing but fat. Now I like a little fat, but couldn’t eat it. We split the other sandwich. The fries were undercooked and hard as a brick, they went into the trash. There was no smoke ring on the brisket and no smoked taste. It was more like chunks of roast with not enough sauce to taste. I don’t know why I went to an Italian place for Q, but it wont happen again!!

This was our second time ordering from here. While we didn’t get the full dozen cornbread muffins we ordered, after getting addicted from the first time, the rest of the food was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely be going back for more.

I ordered two items via door dash because we were thrilled to see a famous Dave’s in the area (we miss ours in El Paso), let me just say I will never order again, my nachos were FREEZING cold. Brisket felt like it had been pulled from a fridge and not even heated to room temp. No jalepenos, no sour cream, just toppled with cold cheese and lettuce. Such a smaller portion than what we were used to from the one in El Paso as well. They also completely forgot our ice cream side with dessert. So upset and seriously sad. I only put two stars because I threw it in the microwave and still ate it. But no joy and not worth ordering again.

Food is great but don’t expect your online order to be ready when they say it will be. Sorely understaffed causing an extra half hour wait time. Like I said the food is awesome but not sure if it’s worth the extra wait time. We’ll its been an hour since order was placed guess it’s why it’s take out only I can’t imagine waiting an hour sitting in the restaurant.

Every time we come here, we are given a promised time but end up waiting over an hour after that promised time. If you’re running behind at least let your customers know so they aren’t waiting in the parking lot. Food is always great but communication and service is terrible
