Lunch was incredibly delicious. Shared a steak and chicken fajita with farm fresh bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and zucchini. Portion was enough for three people and we didn’t eat any tortilla wraps. The house margaritas didn’t disappoint. Warm, thin chips were served with a warm bean dip. Salsa bar was stocked with six different types of salsa. Modern booths with festive Mexican music to fill up the atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Bill was $35 and left a $10 tip. Highly recommend!

This is a top option for me in South Asheville. The food is fresh quick and love that the rice is cooked all the way. Flavor was in every bite I had. The service was lacking as it took a little longer than should to get drinks and no refill options on tortilla chips prior or at service of our meal. They have a great salsa bar where you can visit as much as you like.

We love La Cabana Mexican Grill. It’s close to our house in South Asheville and simply delicious Mexican fair. The Quesabirria is my current favorite especially when paired with a fabulous strawberry margarita!!

Awesome margaritas and the food was fantastic. I had their creamy, spicy chicken dish and it was absolutely delicious. The service is friendly and kind. Very reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food-I ended up taking half of mine home. The restaurant itself is huge so there is plenty of room to make yourself at home.

After the last few places that were in this location I was very hesitant but when I arrived I was immediately greeted and seated. The food comes out faster than you can say quesadilla, like I only had one sip of my ice cold beer it was there. Not even joking they are good and so is the food! I’d definitely give this place a try especially if you like papas and beer because I think it would give them a run for their money on price and service!

Amazing and positive experience from start to finish! Staff are friendly and attentive, the food was fresh and delicious and the portions are great for the price! The owner came over to check on us and make sure we were comfortable and satisfied! La Cabana is now one of our new favorites! We will definitely be back!

LaCabana has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service is outstanding! We also appreciate the handicap parking right at the door, and the wheelchair ramp to the restrooms and bar seating. We highly recommend them!

We went in on Friday, November 29, 2024, and my husband and I were not disappointed at all.
The service was great, and the food was some of the best Mexican cuisine we have ever had. Sadly, it is over an hour and a half drive if we want to return.
Alberto, the owner, was very welcoming, along with his servers and bartender. That day, they had a Mariachi band, which was really cool, and the music was great for the ambiance of the place. Alberto told us about his other restaurant, and I would love to go check it out one day as well.
We observed him closely as he was speaking to all the patrons like family and was very good at answering any questions.
There’s a salsa bar that is included in case anyone wants to try their house-made salsas.
They start you off with fresh chips and the dip they have. It is honestly the best we have had so far, and my husband loves Mexican cuisine a lot. It’s a mix of refried beans with cheese sauce and red sauce.
I ordered the Camarones Zarandeados—
Peel-and-eat shrimp , marinated in house seasoning, and garnished with fresh cilantro. Served with rice and corn . Along with a strawberry daiquiri. It was truly a dish I would want to return to eat. The seasoned shrimp were juicy, and I loved peeling them myself and getting messy with the juices. II usually dislike most rice made in restaurants, but this was definitely delicious, and I’d happily eat it again.
My husband had a creamy burrito with steak , peppers onions , and olla beans topped with cheese sauce and served with rice , lettuce , and tomatoes on the side. His drink was a Corona margarita .
It was a huge portion, and he was full after eating 3/4 of the burrito. ☺️ It is interesting he said it was his favorite to date as well.
We both tried the birria tacos , and OMG, they were so yummy!! The sauce made for them was perfect, and the meat was actually seasoned well. I’ve had other ones, and well, let’s just say they weren’t my favorite.
We also tried the “paleta” shot. It tasted just like tamarind. That was definitthe order of ely great and refreshing even as a shot.
We ended with the Sopapilla for dessert.
It was truly a lovely evening with my husband after an almost 2-hour drive to Asheville, and I am eager to go back for the great food and ambiance.
If you want great-quality food with a definitely great price tag, go visit La Cabana Mexican Grill.

My family tried La Cabana for dinner last night. They have an enormous menu with a lot of items to read through. I was sad that they have over a dozen different burritos to choose from, but no potato burrito. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I ordered the Mole Burrito, and my wife ordered the Verde Burrito, mine was strangely sweet and hers was delicious. They have a salsa bar and provide chips and refried bean dip. We would try them again.

After reading reviews I was nervous to try but my family and I just left and I’m glad I didn’t believe what I read. It was delicious with great service! I had the pollo bowl, my son had ACP, and my husband had the seafood chimichanga. It was all super fresh, very flavorful, and delicious. Also had a house margarita that was very good! Highly recommend for a reasonable price, friendly staff, and good food!
