What is there not to love here. My wife and I went into this place, not expecting it, to be nowhere close to how amazing it actually was. The atmosphere is simple, yet inviting, and it’s easy to look at. But the food is The Star here for sure. The flavor in the noodles was like no other ramen shop. I have been to across the city and hands down is now. My new favorite ramen house. The service was exquisite. The cocktails were on point I honestly cannot wait to go back hands down. What an amazing job to the entire crew and staff over at this location.

First time here and we’re pleased with the experience. Service was friendly and food was delicious. We enjoy good ramen and we’re glad to have discovered this restaurant, will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Food is pretty good for what you pay. Have been here a few times and probably won’t come back unless I definitely have to. For some reasons I had to wait (sometimes several minutes) at the door before someone came and to be seated everytime. I mean, what’s the purpose of eating ramen at the bar? Because it’s fast and I’m in a rush! If I have to spend at least an hour for a meal, why don’t I go to a proper restaurant?

I purchased the Kiwami ramen, which is one of the more expensive options on the menu. It only came with a very basic broth, chashu pork, and chives. I will say the cashier was lovely—she was honest and warned me that the broth was basic and suggested substituting it. When I tried to do that, the cooks told me it would be an additional $3. At that point, I had already added corn, two eggs, and ghost pepper sauce, bringing the total to about $29. Spending over $30 on ramen felt unreasonable, so I declined the substitution.

Unfortunately, the cashier was right. The broth was very unfavorable and dissatisfying. When I got home, I added my own seasonings (Slap Ya Mama and garlic butter), and that’s what finally made it taste good. The ghost pepper sauce was extremely spicy, just as she explained—you only need a small amount—and it was actually delicious.

Overall, the experience felt like a money grab, and it seems like you’re paying more for the location than the food. The amount of pork shown in the photos did not match what I received. I knew this was supposed to be a “meat lovers” ramen and expected to pay more, but for the price and the extremely basic ingredients, it wasn’t worth it. For one of the most expensive ramen options, the lack of substance is disappointing.

There are far too many great ramen places in Louisville to choose this one. For the price I paid, I could have gotten a more authentic, fully loaded ramen elsewhere, added extra pork, and still paid less—or at least enjoyed it more.

Immediately greeted with a smile at the door by behind the counter chefs and then by a greeter/ server. As you can see the atmosphere is new chic Asian- sleek, light and airy. The restaurant is very clean, open and inviting. Serve was knowledgeable about the menu and happy hour options. Light complimentary music playing. Food arrived in a timely manner, visually pleasing the correct temperature. Taste…VERY GOOD! Definitely worth the hassle of finding a pasting place, I highly recommend! Go and enjoy!

Ordered on door dash for lunch at work. Unfortunately got busy right when it arrived and ate the takoyaki cold. Still the best takoyaki I’ve had in town! I can’t imagine how good it would have been if it was piping hot as it had come out of the kitchen.

Had (got) to put my kiwami kuro Ramen in the fridge to save for dinner after work. Best bowl I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned rich and warm bowl of Ramen to cap off the first cold night of the fall/winter. Can’t wait to come into the restaurant! Photo of an empty bowl because I drank all the broth after the noodles were gone!

Thought I’d add the dish vs the picture in the menu. Didn’t look the same.
Ordered the Signature pork broth ramen., Wasn’t spicy and seemed like shrinkflation.
Food was ok, better ramen out there.

Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was great, the service was amazing, the food was perfect! The only complaint I could possibly have is the price. But the food was worth it if you ask me! We’ll definitely be back.

We arrived around 7:45 pm and were seated immediately, which was great. Unfortunately, after sitting at our table for about 25 minutes with no server, I finally had to walk up and ask for help. They seemed confused and had no idea what was going on, even though there were only about four other tables in the restaurant.

When the food came out, it looked amazing — but that’s where the positives ended. My ramen was lukewarm and didn’t taste very good. My husband ordered the rice and beef, but there was barely any beef and very little flavor. We also didn’t get drink refills until the manager overheard me say, “I guess we get nothing else to drink.”

We couldn’t even finish our food. To make matters worse, today we are both sick with GI problems.

This was honestly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.

Great food and great service! We got the takoyaki, soft shell crab bun, BBQ squid, aka ramen. Everything was absolutely delicious! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn’t packed, they have street parking or on the side lot where Sapporo is.
