We always enjoy this gem! Everything is so fresh and we love that the menu changes. The staff is friendly and professional and the restaurant is spotless! Don’t forget to try the craft cocktails! Below is the Mahi main dish and the Bucheron appetizer.

A must foodie stop if you are in the area and a great addition to Southern Westchester. The food and cocktails are really good. I enjoyed the chopped salad, the crab dip and the duck confit ravioli. The Mezcal drink with Aperol was divine. A decent wine list, quite eclectic, with three choices from Mexico. I opted for the Montepulciano to pair with my pasta dish. With a few tweaks, such as the slow service, the lack of atmosphere, and the uninviting decor, this place could easily be a 5 star restaurant.

The food here is really good. I had the begger’s purse for the appetizer and the duck breast for my main. Both were delicious. The lava cake that I had for dessert was also very good. Our server was also very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the kitchen was exceptionally slow. My group and I were there for nearly 2 hours. I live near by so I will probably return for the food. If the service next is faster I’ll have no problem revising my rating to 5 stars.

Interesting new restaurant with small menu with some excellent choices of dishes. All are preparing to the highest standard. The crunchy salad and the shrimp in garlic butter are my favorites. The bar has some unique cocktails. Made from there wonderful selections of sprites from around the world.
The have only two choices of beer thankfully the not domestic.

Reviews are spot on about this place… Food was innovative and delicious, the basil pappardelle was awesome! Cocktail menu is also interesting and the rum cocktail was yummy! Desserts are also tantalizing, our table loved the cheesecake, the bread pudding and the lava cake with ice cream… all made on site! Can’t wait to go back!

Great vibe, amazing food, awesome service. Both appetizers we had were fresh and tasty (burratta and shrimp) and the dirty vodka martini was made super well.

As for the entrees, the steak frites was delish! Peppercorn sauce wasn’t too heavy and the steak was really good quality and cooked to perfection. Duck Ragout / Shrimp Pappardelle were also both bomb!

Cookies for dessert were to die for.

Overall this place was just a nice hidden gem with a great ambience and great food. Would recommend !

The food was lackluster. Fried zucchini had little to no zucchini in it. Shrimp tasted like it had been previously frozen, was rubbery and overcooked, and had a plastic aftertaste that wouldn’t leave my mouth after many hours. “Fresh” bread tasted stale and was very hard and cold. Food itself was lukewarm. Had the miso salad and could only taste the dressing. Below average food, was expecting exceptional. Severely disappointed. Restaurant itself was freezing inside despite the many portable space heaters running.

Before I discuss my concerns about this establishment, I would like to preference my review by saying that the foods and drinks at Unico were absolutely amazing & tasteful. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, and it is a cozy place for a small gathering.

However, I had two problems with my dinner last night. After receiving the bill, I noticed that my group and I were charged for three drinks that we did not order. While the waitress cleared this issue up quickly by fixing the bill and offering us dessert on the house, it appeared to us that this “error” was made on purpose. I say that due to the fact that when I began explaining the issue, the waitress didn’t even let me finish speaking yet she already knew what was wrong and said “I’m sorry, I must have given you the bill for another table.” However, we were the only table of four in the restaurant at the time, and I find it highly unlikely that another group ordered the same exact food and drinks we had ordered (based on the bill). Besides this issue, after coming home from the restaurant, I noticed that my card had been charged twice for the bill! While I was able to clear this issue up with my bank, I am still disappointed in the service offered at Unico.

It is such a disappointment that a place with such wonderful food has such terrible customer service. I understand that people make mistakes, but two big financial mistakes in one night causes one to become skeptical. I hope the restaurant fixes their issues.

I would like to acknowledge that while my group did pay with three cards, each of us were charged. My card just happened to be charged twice, so it was not a case of me being charged twice because one person was not charged at all.
