Food was generous in portion. Our waitress, an older lady took her time serving us. Took 40min just for drinks. We might as well had went to the bar ourselves. They should hire someone to help her. She put in an extra order for tacos we did not ask for. Our bill was almost 300$. She did not wait for us to leave the restaurant before talking about us to another staff member saying we ordered too much food and then decided to lie and say we never ordered the tacos. The $15 wouldn’t have killed us lady. Have some respect.

Nice deck seating over looking the ocean. Had some live music which made for some good atmosphere. Food was ok, service a little slow but friendly.

The Sandbar does not disappoint. They have two restaurant establishments in there. One on the rooftop where they have live music and a beautiful view of the ocean and sky’s backdrop. The other inside where they have an all you can eat seafood bar. Both are amazing! They have great prices and great service!

All you can eat was ok. First, let me say I’m not a big fan of cafeteria style meals. Went at 2:30pm. Easy in and out. Server was on top of everything. Views are beautiful! One cluster of crab legs per person. Key lime pie was yummy. Over ate. Two meals plus one drink =$100.

My wife and I stopped here for a late afternoon drink just to check it out in mid-July 2025. It’s somewhat new (less than 18 months since our last visit to Islamorda), and it’s not very well advertised on road signage. It also sits right above a “Buffet” restaurant, and I think that tends to deter a lot of people who avoid people who frequent buffet restaurants. You have to hike up about 30 stairs to get up to the bar, but once there, it has a spectacular view of the adjacent Whale Harbor, the famous Islamorada (Holiday Isle) Sand Bar, and the Atlantic Ocean. On the afternoon of our visit, it was somewhat rainy and overcast, and we had already had a filling late lunch so we didn’t order any food. We just ordered a drink and sat at the bar, and we were the only ones in the whole place except for a family sitting at one of the tables along the patio railing. The bar tender was a Cuban immigrant and very polite, friendly and professional. We go to Islamorada on vacation every year, so next year, we will probably go here for a lunch or casual dinner if the weather is nice and sunny. Until then, I can only rate it with 4 stars for its wonderful view and good bar service. It’s actually got a better view than the Whale Harbor “Wahoo’s” bar next door.
