Grand Island is a place with a lot of Mexican restaurants. I travel in New Mexico and Texas and enjoy the Tex-Mex there. Why? Flavor. Many of the Mexican restaurants in Grand Island have no flavor, especially the out of the bag shredded taco chicken. Many are just plane nasty. People around here really must like band food. I don’t. I go to Taco Johns and enjoy it – the Tacos have flavor. I like potatoes with my tacos and I HATE the brown mystery mush called refried beans. Give me the whole beans in a pleasant sauce, And the price at TJ’s is reasonable. Tex-Mex and New Mexican are the best and TJ’s does a decent job.

This restaurant is sticky everywhere you turn. Employees are not friendly. Food is not cared for while being made. Our order was wrong, and we physically couldn’t bring ourselves to finish what was brought too us.
Old items that are greasy and need to be discarded are being stored in the dining area. Pray for me.

I am very disappointed in taco johns staff and the establishment i and my wife came through the drive thu to order we spent 48 dollars for two super potato olays extra beef and chips and cheese and medium potatoes and two meat burritos they had messed up our entire order I and my wife didnt get extra meat we paid extra for we did not get our chips either we had paid for they messed up my mother in laws two meat burritos they slop her food like trash she opened it up it all fell out on the table from not being properly rolled at all when we called they hung up on us twice extremely unprofessional we will not be coming back at all unless management reaches out to me to make it right with us until then goodbye taco johns

Taco Johns is one of my favorite restaurants. We don’t have them in Texas, so I visit when I travel. I visited this site two days in a row and was slightly disappointed. The bathroom was dirty the first day and not cleaned on the second day, as spots remained from the previous day. Staff was friendly, but need to work on cleaning.

The dining room access is consistently locked well before the posted hours. I tried again tonight and it was locked at 6:30pm. Two employees that were standing at the counter watched as I attempted to enter.

I stop here often. The staff are friendly. Recently they have been giving me hot and fresh tots that’s not always the case but not a deal breaker on most days. The outside is in good shape and no trash on the lot.

I ordered a ban taco salad and saw on my receipt I was charged for beef. Sounds close when ordering so I get it. I mentioned it to the cashier and he offered to change it since it wasn’t made yet. I just wish they would have added extra beans since I paid for a beef since it cost more for beef vs bean but other than that, all was good
