People like to think Philly is where you go for a great cheesesteak… wrong. Do yourself a favor, make a pitstop at GAS, order a sawbuck sized steak bomb and experience nirvana. As a NH native and now out-of-towner, I visit less often to see my own family than I do for Great America Subs. A local staple and what should be a national treasure, this is simply the best sandwich you can have.

First of all, the gentlemen here are amazing! Friendly, professional, and SO FAST. Always impressed.
Second, the FOOD. These are my favorite subs in the whole state of NH. They bake the bread daily and the ingredients are always fresh.

Love their subs! Sub rolls are fresh and not too heavy. My husband is all about bread to meat ratio and said they are the best for that.
Customer service is friendly and always get my order right. The reason the lower score for atmosphere is due to the fact that it is a small sub place with just a few booths. Definitely recommend.

Honestly GA is the best in town. Lunch to catering, they’re capable of covering any aspect. Aside from grabbing lunch, we catered a bday party for 25 people. The food was made fresh and packaged perfectly for a party. The cookies and brownies are unreal. You’ll be hoping there’s leftovers.

Great American Subs doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is well worth it. I ordered a medium chicken cutlet with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheddar jack, and mayo. I was disappointed the sandwich didn’t come with my pickles but the taste otherwise made up for it!
The bread was incredibly fresh, portions were large, and the sandwich was well made. There was a generous amount of good quality chicken and we did not have to wait long either. For $13 this was definitely well worth the money. Overall I am very impressed!

The subs here are fresh tasting but I can’t recommend because the portions are ridiculously small. They literally put two layers of turkey slices on their subs. I don’t know what makes them think having way more bread and toppings makes a good sub but it doesnt, for $13. There’s barely anything in it, that’s not a true sub. You get barely any extra turkey from a small to a large for the extra $6 or whatever. I included pictures (my camera is broken so blurry). The thin white line is the turkey. This is half a sub, one large the other small. The small tuna sub for $8 doesn’t even seem to be 6″ long and there was barely anything in it. Literally felt like $23 thrown away.
RESPONSE TO BELOW: Don’t believe such a fake “apology” it was the same thing when I got a medium sub months ago, hoped the large would have more meat. You really think a new employee won’t know how much turkey to put on? You’ll get ripped off also. He told the same thing to someone else here. He’s not giving you anything for your money. No remuneration offered! There will start being more meat if people didn’t come here. DONT BE RIPPED OFF, LOOK HOW LITTLE TURKEY THAT IS!!!

Took my mom who was visiting from California to get a steak bomb. She grew up in New England and we always heard good things about American subs. Her favorite meal is a good steak bomb. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the price and the amount of steak/toppings that were in the sub. I have included a disappointing picture. It was mostly stale bread with no taste.
