This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. Imagine the bad stories you hear but don’t think they’re real. That’s about what we experienced.

Walking in, no one in sight, trash on the floor everywhere, uncleaned tables that had food and even the tip still on it. Get up to the register and I’m treated to the sight of the stores political beliefs being shoved in my face… great, don’t care what it is, keep it to yourself, has no place in a business, unless your goal is to alienate half your potential customers. You know what, actually, keep it up, is a good warning sign and probably the moment I should have left.

Chalkboard had the day special, and soup and salad bar. Well, the salad bar had been taken down already…so guess that’s not happening. (1.5 hrs before they closed, either keep it out or erase the chalkboard)

Someone finally comes out after a few minutes, tells me to sit anywhere. Picking the cleaner looking area, they bring my menu. Let them know there are 3 more joining and asked if she could bring their menus as well. She says sure, walks away and doesn’t come back… Nice.

After everyone arrives, she comes back and asks what we’d like to drink. Still no menus. Tired of sharing the one I had, finally had to get our own menus.

After the waitress took our orders, we waited for a bit. Never did bring our silverware or napkins. Brought the appetizer we ordered out, your basic crappy GFS cream cheese poppers… Still no silverware or napkins. So, you guessed it, got up and got our own.

Food comes out, only thing I’m giving more than 1 star for but it wasn’t great. Maybe the lackluster service and atmosphere tainted the food, I don’t know. I also don’t know who this Cindy is, but I’m afraid to ask what her BBQ sauce is famous for, blegh.

The entire time, staff were more interested in BSing with each other than doing their jobs. Both back in the kitchen and in the dining area. The place is way too quiet for you to be doing that, we don’t really care to hear you talking about whatever is so much more important than your job while we’re eating.

$80 bucks and a $10 tip (which the waitress, frankly, didn’t deserve) was way too much for the experience we received. Personally, I will not be back and I can’t say I’d recommend anyone else go either, not unless there is a drastic change in management and training.

Came to Zeller’s for brunch but they do not serve breakfast all day (good to know) so we had lunch. Their pickle spears were ok as was their ranch. The Philly steak sandwich was very good. The ham and cheese and onion rings were pretty good. The place was clean but the restrooms weren’t stocked. Overall an ok stop along the way.

Large dining venue with tons of space! Aside from breakfast lunch and dinner, they also have a bar and banquet area. The blueberry pancakes are absolutely amazing. Very fresh and delicious. French toast, biscuits and gravy and omelets are also wonderful. Service is very friendly and prompt. ADA friendly to get in. The men’s room stall needs attention. There’s no lock, no latch. Quite the turn off to say the least…. The food and service is great.

We stopped by for lunch. It was quite empty when we got here, but our meals took quite awhile to arrive. Maybe 30 minutes. The grilled white fish sandwich was pretty good (3.5 it of 5). The BBQ sandwich was just ok (3 to 3.5 out of 5), plentiful meat and grilled bun but overall too sweet and no “tang” or spiceness. Fries and onion rings were cool when they arrived. No offer of pop refills and no check when we were done, even though we hung around and waited. We may just have gotten unlucky. Ambiance was ok. Menu was fairly varied.

Cute place ,nice relaxed vibe, and pleasant staff.
However,
I ordered the country breakfast skillet, and it came smothered in canned gravy(yuck), under cooked hash browns, and undercooked bacon. I wasn’t able to identify the eggs either in this awful pile!
You should have to disclose using nasty canned gravy.
Rye toast was wonderful!

Came in early morning during October , only 4 tables with 2 customers each eating already. I was informed they had a buffet and I was sort of in a hurry so I got that and a coffee and water .
Not a bad buffet , had home made corned beef hash ( corned beef was obviously canned ) but it was good , sausage gravy was really good .
Three waitresses, one spent a lot of time chatting with another local business owner eating , one girl waited on the other two tables including the one next to mine .
I made 3 trips to the buffet , my waitress never once came and picked up an empty plate of offered more coffee . I then go to cash out and the other waitress started to help me but she was preoccupied with bills of people not even in line and said she would be right back . Before that happened my waitress finally shows up and cashed me out .
They were all very nice but the time I was done eating, I was the only one left in the entire restaurant. My only thought was I would never go in there when it was busy if 3 waitresses can’t wait on one customer . Btw I seen the one waitress refill her customers coffee, including the table next to mine . with only a couple tables she should have checked on everyone’s coffee, it would have took less than a minute.
Maybe I will try it again in the spring when I’m back up there and see if it was a better service experience and adjust my review to reflect.

Great stop for breakfast. The Mac & cheese bites were delicious. They’re known for their giant cinnamon roll! Lots of great vegetarian options.

I’m from Plymouth, England home of the pasties. These were as authentic as can be. Great flavor and the gravy was spot on. 100% recommend this place.
