Went to Joe’s last night and got my usual red beans and rice. The wife got the Jo Jo special. We also ordered onion rings. When the food arrived it was just above room temperature and the onion rings were cold. We come here very often like no less than 4 nights a week sometimes more. Joe’s is convenient as it is very close to home. If this is going to be the norm for food we will go elsewhere. We enjoy Mr. T’s cooking and Jo Joe’s and another cooks food. Aroneishia, Laura and Jesie as servers.

Stopped by Joe’s Cafe & Donuts on Belle Chasse Hwy and had a solid experience overall. I ordered the Cheesey Joe Burger with sweet potato fries—really enjoyed the mix of cheeses on the burger, definitely something a little different. The fries were great, and the fried okra was perfectly crispy and seasoned just right.
I also grabbed several doughnuts. Unfortunately, they were out of a few, including the buttermilk and the donut drops—my wife’s favorites. That was a bit of a letdown. Thankfully, they still had the maple, which is my go-to.
One disappointment: I found out they’re removing the Hawaiian Joe Burger, even though it’s still on the menu. That one’s always been a favorite, so I was bummed to hear it’s going away. Guess I’ll have to try making it at home.
Service was friendly and fast, and the food quality is still top-notch. Just hoping they reconsider the menu change!

Can’t go wrong coming to Joe’s for your donut needs. Their apple fritters are too large and hard for my taste, but everything else I’ve had has been good. Their food menu is varied and the portions are satisfying.

Coming out of Belle Chase, I had stopped at a nearby gas station and asked the cashier where to go for a good breakfast. Without any hesitation, she said Joe’s Cafe. A quick navigation setting and was there in no time. Walking in, it was very busy. Both in the drive through, walk in orders, and generally fast pace. We dined in for breakfast and our server was very friendly, warm. The dining area was exceptionally clean and the atmosphere was very friendly. I ordered the hungry man breakfast with over way eggs, ham, and smoked link. Everything was extremely tasty and the pancake were the best part. No need for syrup or butter, they were that good all by themselves. I really enjoy finding places like this and always trust the locals.

I usually order from Joe’s in Marrero and I love their buy one, get one free breakfast plate. Their portions are generous and their grilled biscuits are delicious.
I ordered from Gretna because they were the only ones open at the time and was so disappointed. The portions were so tiny, the hash browns weren’t cooked all the way, and the grilled biscuit was hardly grilled.
If you have been turned off of Joe’s because you’ve only had the Gretna one, give the one in marrero a try.

The BEST and BIGGEST Apple Fritter I have EVER EATEN! The Biegnets were SO DELICIOUS! They have Texas Donuts too! I wish we came to Joes Cafe the first day we arrived to New Orleans. They have great menu from breakfast to dinner. The customer service was EXCELLENT. Jessica is a great customer service waitress/ cashier. She was friendly and knowledgeable.

Every location is a hit or miss. Donuts always a hit , that’s why I keep coming back. I may order some bacon and this time I was served under cooked bacon in a pool of grease. I’ll stick to the donuts from here on out.

Complete disregard, no acknowledgement, lack of service, and just embarrassing.
When you have a customer patiently waiting to place an order while someone else is giving and order then to be skipped by someone who just walks in.
No wonder everyone says don’t go here.
Save your time and go ANYWHERE else because the most basic part of taking orders ya know, in order of guests arriving must be to difficult or just lacks common sense.
This place had 2 people, I was one of them. Then 7. But I get skipped after sitting directly in front of the woman at the bar to place and order. I guess your supposed place and order before you sit down or take a number ticket idk.
2nd bad experience and this was the absolute worst not at this place but I’ve ever experienced.
