So here is the deal…..I think the sandwich tasted awesome!!!! Just make sure you understand the price you are paying!!! Cheese was melted and stringy! Tons of steak on the sandwich so they did not skimp! The price was $16 for just one sub. I would normally not pay this much for just one sandwich. But my husband had a coupon and we agreed to split it in case either of us were disappointed. If you think of it as same concept of getting a sub somewhere else but asking for them to add triple the meat on theirs which would equal to the meet on this one, then the price would be a comparison. So keep this in mind! I do not think you will be disappointed with the taste!!!! Store was clean and packaging was proper! lol how many places still use paper bags – right!

I liked the Jersey Mike’s in Bettendorf. I still believe they are a great addition to the businesses on 53rd street. Today I had an errand in Davenport near Eastern Avenue and saw they have a location near Kimberly Road and Jersey Ridge Road near Fresh Thyme Market and the IHMVCU Branch. I needed lunch at the time and a Philly steak sandwich sounded good.

Ordering my sandwich was just as easy as the location in Bettendorf. I talked with the gentleman at the counter, took my ticket, got a bag of Cheetos and a drink and paid at the register. After sitting down at one of the tables, I had my sandwich in a matter of minutes.

Many of the trappings of the Bettendorf location are also present at this Jersey Mike’s. The same lightly weathered looking wood laminate floor is present, as is the horizontal beadboarding along most of the interior. Most of the remainder of the walls are painted a light blue, with the color continuing into the kitchen area in the form of a similar colored subway tile. The same or similar wall decorations are here as well in the form of three panel photos framed within hanging beach chairs of what appears to be different images of the Jersey shoreline. It all mostly comes together to give a interior designer’s vision of the Jersey shore in a sandwich shop.

There are a few things that detract from the overall aesthetics of the space, however. Most noticeably, the ceiling plenum is exposed in this location, allowing full view of the corrugated steel and supports, HVAC ductwork, and conduit running throughout the space. This isn’t a bad look and otherwise works visually with the rest of the space. Functionally, however, it does not adequately support the noise level appropriate to the dining area. A TV was on in the corner playing an NFL game during my entire visit. The noise from this combined with the un-dampened conversations and interactions of every person also in the space contributed to a light cacophony that was not enjoyable while I was eating.

The lighting, while not offensive or otherwise harsh, is kind of schizophrenic in it’s application. Recessed fixtures provide adequate illumination around the counter area. The majority of the dining area, however, is lit by a combination of 4 foot florescent fixtures suspended from the ceiling and incandescent bulbs on fixtures over several of the wall art images. None of it ties together and just feels a bit off when taken in collectively.

That all being said, I enjoyed my Mike’s Famous Philly. The sandwich was of the expected quality that I’ve had at other locations and I’d continue ordering it in the future. Given the shortfalls of the atmosphere in the dining area of this particular location, I’d probably get my sandwich to go next time. Thanks for the good meal, Mike’s.

I got the Bug Kahunah. Frankly the BEST sub I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked beef, peppers, and onions. The beef was tender and lean. The bread was obviously freshly baked. Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The cookies were tasty too. I highly recommend Jersey Ike’s for your next sub sandwich!!

I go to the Kimberly Road Jersey Mike’s all the time And I usually don’t have any problems until today. There’s a girl with long black straight hair that works there And her attitude and service is horrible. While a girl was making my sandwich she touched my bread while she was wiping everything down. How do you not know there isn’t bleach inside of the stuff she uses to wipe the counters down with and that was uncalled for. I said something to her she copped attitude and threw the bread down when I asked her to get me a new bun. I then walked out and asked the employee who the general manager was and he said it was her. Corporate will be contacted ASAP Because she should not be working as a GM.
