This is a really cool location with a lot of stuff going on — really good food (what’s up bro burrito, The lox and bagels, and cheesy y grits) great service (thank you Katie) and really great outdoor area with a lot of really cool old stuff. Everything was really spacious and artsy and tasting

I love this place. Food was delicious. The Bro-rito, biscuits and gravy, Basic B breakfast… so so good. Our party loved all of their food. We were visiting out of state. We came here twice. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The vibe in this place is so much fun and welcoming. If we ever are in Baton Rouge, we will be back! I wish we lived closer. We would be here every week. The biscuits were so good I brought some back to CA.

I love love love this place! Such a cute spot with a cool vibe. I’ve been three times now, once for lunch & twice for brunch, and everything is delicious. I’ve only had great service, too. The patio is huge and such a neat place! I love the Bougie Cado Toast, so good, and their portions are huge. THANK YOU, Leola’s Cafe!

Mane the reviews don’t do this pls e any justice yes the place is busy the service did start out a bit poor. Once we settled in party of four we had no issues the food was delicious. The atmosphere was definitely easy on the eyes, from the bathroom to the amazing antique store on the first floor . Was my entire party’s first time . Amazing .

Great little breakfast/brunch joint! Super eclectic feel, between a flea market and a local art venue with local pieces subtly decorating the walls. I went with my family of five and we were sat quickly, which my daughter said isnt normal on a Sunday. We had coffee and ice coffee for drinks, great. Ordered the cheese and fruit board to share, excellent. I had the Shrimp, Spinach and Feta panini and my wife had the salmon bagel with dill cream cheese, highly recommend both! My 21 year old son had the breakfast bowl, he is 6’4″ and can put down groceries, he loved the brisket and was totally full, that’s all you need to know. HIGHLY recommend checking this place out next time your on the Eastside of BR! You’ll comeback and thank me!

My wife and I went to Leola’s for a Valentine’s-weekend Sunday brunch. We mainly expected specialty coffee drinks, like seasonal lattes or barista recommendations, and really any good food. Unfortunately, every aspect of our experience was subpar.
It’s worth mentioning first that we are young and not the kind to complain about service — and we’re a queer couple, so we appreciate having young queer staff.
Upon entering, we weren’t greeted by anyone and had to ask about how to get a table. We were then led up stairs without being asked if we were okay with being seated upstairs; stairs can be inaccessible to those with chronic pain or mobility issues, but they weren’t a big problem for us to go up once. The hostess set our menus down on a table and continued walking straight away without a word. We felt generally unwelcome and awkward the whole time.
We asked about “specialty coffees” but there was only one flavored cold brew and one iced coffee on the menu, along with syrup flavor add-ons and a couple of milk alternatives. We asked if they had any seasonal drinks at the time, like maybe a Mardi Gras flavor combo, or any toppings like cold foam. They only had whipped cream, and the server had no suggestions for any good drinks — just that there might be some coffees written on the board downstairs. The restaurant advertises “rich espresso” and “bold brews” but there were no options for espresso-based or unique drinks besides alcohol. So we skipped coffee and went elsewhere afterwards for drinks.
We ordered a shareable Dad Bod to split but asked for no cheese on the eggs and grits. They said the grits came with cheese already mixed in, so we said that’s okay, just no cheese added and none for the eggs, please. But both came with cheese mixed in and added on top. We said it’s no big deal and asked to order a single scrambled egg on the side with no cheese. We were later informed that there is no option to make eggs with no cheese.
Unfortunately, the brisket was really the only thing that was good. The pancakes were a little burnt, the sausages were a very odd texture (more like undercooked plant-based sausage, but to our knowledge, it was supposed to be regular sausage), and everything else was just mediocre.
We were overall disappointed with the customer service, the food quality, the lack of actual coffee selections, and the general experience. We did like the antique furniture and decor, and the food quantity was generous.

Leola’s was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. Haylen J provided excellent, attentive service and truly made us feel welcome. The breakfast was outstanding — the bacon was perfectly crispy, the eggs were cooked just right, and the avocado toast was fresh and delicious. Every bite was on point.
It was an excellent way to spend a birthday, and the warm, inviting atmosphere made it even more special. Ms. Donna is also an absolute pleasure and adds to the charm of the place. Highly recommend Leola’s for a memorable breakfast experience!

Mom/daughter weekend capped off with brunch at Leola’s on a Sunday. I made our reservation online the preceding Friday. We selected an early dining time on the patio since it was our final destination before our 4hr plus drive home. They do have live music at 11am. We both ordered the “Basic B” breakfast and they allowed us to modify our egg selection. Daughter went with boiled eggs and I changed the cheesy scrambled eggs to hard fried. We both ordered the Salted Caramel Cold Brew with Oat Milk. The portions were generous, our server attentive and the food delicious. We both ordered a second Cold Brew to go! Definitely plan to return and try more menu items
