This is a quaint little Mexican restaurant for a quaint little town. We ate here on the insistence of my mother in law. Now, I know she has a better palate for food, but this food tasted like they were serving Mexican at a low budget senior citizen home, no flavour or seasonings at all. I ordered the Huarache, after adding the salsa from the free nachos, and sour cream, on top of a little salt and pepper, it barely had flavour. I have eaten at many a Mexican and Hispanic ran resturante, and have never really had a problem with the seasoning and flavours of their dishes. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it was clean and our waiter was very nice… and a fan of Call of Duty: mobile, other than that if it wasn’t for the fact my mother in law paid for the bill, I would have taken one bite, told the manager charge me for the drinks, and left for somewhere with more seasoning and flavour.

Other than the service the Carrisal has gone downhill. The food is less than desirable now where it was once fresh. When food comes out for a family of 4 in 5 minutes from ordering something is amiss. I understand rice and beans being made in a big pot. However fajitas and enchiladas meals you think would take longer to cook, that is if its fresh. These seemed to taste rubbery as if it was reheated in a microwave. Then there is the price!! You look at menu and say well for what we ordered the price isn’t the worst. No!!! Its a switch and bait. You will see a price in the menu for a meal but it DOESNT actually include the meat you choose. For instance ordering chicken enchiladas in the menu it says $10 but once the bill comes they add $2 for the meat…and our fajitas it added even more. They menu doesn’t tell you they will upcharge you and the server didnt mention it either. This is a bad business for poorly microwaved food. I’d definitely stay away!!!

Y’all this is the BEST place to eat! Prices are great, food is so good, folks are so nice, restaurant is clean, and just over all great. I want to keep it a secret but I also want this great place to grow! If you ever want a perfect dinner that’s not expensive, you’ve found it! If I could I’d give them more than 5 stars. Just great! I would like a wider variety of salsa for chips, but that’s my only suggestion. But it’s my pleasure to suggest this great restaurant.
