So I actually went into Agnello’s to buy a metal “Eat” sign they no longer wanted. Which I am enjoying in my kitchen… I was greeted with friendly faces and Diane, one of the owners. She was as cute as can be with an infectious smile telling me about the families history in the restaurant business…. I ended up ordering a large white pizza. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity with this kind of history! It said no sauce and with garlic… that’s me allll day! While it was cooking I asked one of the guys if they had garlic knots. No, nothing like that. A bit disappointing but the pizza was ready quick and I left. It was the perfect temperature when I got home and I started in. The crust was amazing…. the toppings? Just regular. I’m still struggling watching them use sliced cheese instead of shredded…. but it was good, just not like I though it might be. Diane was sweet, but she’s not making the pizzas. If I lived closer I’d try more. Will I drive 20 minutes for more? Probably not. Love the sign tho

The food is legit. Very Old School Jazz bar/restaurant looking with nice slow old school music. I like that I can taste that it’s homemade. I ordered mozzarella sticks, and boy! They are the real deal. I can actually see the mozzarella is fresh, and the stix are huge. Really good for the price. The breading could use better flavor but it’s still good. Highly recommend. Even the tomato sauce is homemade.

Had a house salad to start with dressing on the side. Salad was fresh and hearty. Service was ok should have been better. My first and only time here and my waitress started of good and attentive until towards the end of the meal when it was can I have my mom check time felt like a good 15 20 minutes had gone by at least and my waitress was no where to be found. Finally a waiter came by to see if everything was ok. Thankfully I was able to get the check from him. As I left I seen the waitress sitting at a table with someone. Looked like she was having a meeting with a boss I hope. Pizza was good and flavorful. I went on a night that it wasn’t crowded and had a plenty of parking available in the parking lot.

I grew up in New City, and haven’t been back to eat in a long time. Happened to be up on business, and we were recommended Angello’s by my lunch partner. Happy to say it was great. Fresh mozzarella and tomato pie, along with a bowl of tortellini or pasta fagioli soup was the lunch special. Can’t beat it! Another friend who was also eating here for the first time said it was great as well. Add a very friendly waitress and it was well worth it. Keep up the good work!

Simply the best pizza in rockland county and honestly better than a lot of the best places in Brooklyn, Jersey or New Haven, too. I’m telling everyone about this pizza. I wanna bathe in it. I wanna be christened in it. This is a pizza that breaks up with you but you say thank you when it does it. This is pizza you travel a long distance for and regret nothing. Run, don’t walk to Agnello’s.

The food is really great, I had chicken parmesan. Only complaint is the tomato sauce is a little on the sweeter side.

Came here with my mother for lunch and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and very generously portioned. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana- surprisingly light without sacrificing flavor or quality. They sell their item homemade tomato sauce that they use in their recipes, which we added to our check. Very affordable, friendly service, great ambiance.

I have eaten here since they first opened up a few years back and can honestly say that the Pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are all friendly, professional and the restaurant is always kept clean. Great place to have a quick lunch or fancy dinner. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you’re ever in the area. You wont regret it!
