With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Got a drink at 7:30 am and was served last even though I was second in store out of 6 people. Just because I’m not a regular I still would like to feel welcomed. Drink also was made rushed bunch of chocolate sauce in one location overall not great experience, been here couple times always get treated the same. Had better luck at other locations.

This is a really great little coffee shop. The staff is abundantly friendly. The prices are reasonable. The seasonal offerings are spot on. And you get a chocolate covered coffee bean with your drink!
I have tried most of their selections and something about their coffee is consistently way better than the competition. The drinks are creamier, more flavorful, and not overly sweet. Their beans are perfectly roasted.
Their point system is good and they often have opportunities to earn discounts and freebies. They also have good smoothies and yummy food. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Good coffee. I did the drive through. Glad to see the menu at both the ordering kiosk and a lil before that. Helps reduce delay due to indecisiveness.
Just one gripe. I got the hot mocha. But it came very diluted. Not sure if their standard mocha is supposed to be made with 1% milk. Perhaps asking that during the order helps. Coz in most coffee places their default is whole milk

Went to HB today around the AM to order my bf his bday drink. We ordered two vanilla shaken espresso. They were so sour it tasted like they either pulled the espresso too fast or used rotten milk. Whatever it was my bf ended up throwing up and I got an upset stomach. Couldn’t finish the drinks because of how sour they were. Would like a refund for the drink we purchased and a remake of his bday drink because it’s only fair

They spilled my frozen hot chocolate on the counter then just picked it up put the lid back on and still tried to give it to me. They wiped the outside of the cup with a used rag and told me that it’s fine because they clean the counters They only offered to make me a new one after I rejected it.

Starting with the drive-thru PA system . The employees are understandable and clear. Very pleasant sounding system. Odd orders were no problem at all. The service was fast and there were no surprises in the flavor of my drink. Wicked smart arrangement of these espresso stops.

I’ve been to this specific Bean Location a few times now and the building is larger than most and had an actual posted drive thru and menu to start. The prices aren’t clearly listed, but the baristas are usually nice and tell you if you ask.
I don’t go for these products often as I don’t particularly like coffee and don’t have the money usually, so when I go and treat myself and they get my interesting drink correct, it makes me so ecstatic and really starts my day off right!
I quite enjoy a little conversation with my drink, and the particular visit I’m reviewing for; my barista was extremely friendly and happily conversational, as it’s really awesome to have a friendly smiling face, and one so willing to share some kind words to start off my day wonderfully.

Unfortunately I am not going here anymore. I go there fairly often. This last time I paid $21 for 3 drinks and tipped $4, one of them I did not like and asked them to remake and they said since I had drank some of it, I would have to pay for another. Of course I had a few sips, I was trying to get past how sweet it was because I felt bad asking them to remake it. (I asked for half sweet). After 4 sips, I decided to turn around and ask. They will miss out on a lot more than $7 by not making the moment right.
