Went to the Amboy Family Restaurant for a late lunch our waitress was very nice it was her first day but she was very helpful. There was another woman in there that was not friendly or helpful. The restaurant is your run of the mill family restaurant nothing special and a bit run down but it is clean.
The food was ok, I ordered a steak sandwich which was supposed to be served on a hoagi roll but instead it was served on toast which was super dried out and the steak was very thin and cooked beyond well done so it was like leather. Another person at the table ordered a Colorado burger he said it was ok, not anything outstanding the third person ordered a Reuben she said it was good but wasn’t a fan of the rye bread but that is on her not the restaurant. The soup was good it seemed hot and fresh. We ordered an appetizer of cheese curds they were tasty and hot.

We love coming here. Food is great. On Wednesday the boasted chicken with spaghetti special is great!

Becca was out waitress she was very nice and attentive we ordered some wings a pizza and we all ordered a burger four separate orders they all came out freshly made. They all came out in a great timely Manor. Everything we needed was available to eat the perfect burger or pizza my dad got a omelette and we all left full happy and extremely satisfied 10/10

Walked in no one around. Went to restroom and when leaving a staff member walked in jumped and said she had no idea anyone was there. Server never smiled. Location is tired, it was warm in resturant and one server commented that she hoped they would turn on the air. Food was good.

Unfortunately none of us like paying the Visa surcharges but I’d rather have happy waitresses that provide better service to my customers even though the one I had was really good she either way but it will break into servers morale when people have to constantly get up and use your $4 ATM machine to get out 20 that pretty much knocks out 15% of a 20% tip right there nobody wants to pay 15% fees on an ATM fee so that they can eat Steve open that place in the early 80s is damn near half a century later put a damn Visa card machine in

I just went there today, and there were ants everywhere!!! The bathroom was dark, smelly, and in poor condition. Also was no soap to wash your hands. Food was decent, was a little scared there was gonna be ants in it, because of how much there was at the booths. Lady got my brothers drink wrong, 2 times!! She also came off kinda rude and like she didn’t want to serve us.
