Updated review: Partnering with doordash could have been possibly been the worse thing they could have done. It takes twice as long to receive orders. Each time I order I’m always getting my order 15-20 minutes after the schedule time which is ridiculous. I’ve had to have a few remakes since this last review as well. I am extremely disappointed. Papa John’s only delivers on this side of the island or else id take my business else where.
I am a regular with Papa John’s and I must say I appreciate and absolutely love the consistency of my food each time I order. I am extremely pleased especially each time Tyler prepares my food. Me and my coworkers order lunch from here from time to time. I’ve never been the one to pick up our order, but I’ve never heard any complaints about the food or service. My food was great. I had the buffalo wings and the jalapeno bites. The wings were perfectly sauced and actually kept the flavor to it. The jalapeno bites were cheesy with the jalapeno kick to it. Everything was delicious and satisfying.

I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and banana peppers. Thin rust square cut. I got a pepperoni and mushrooms. Regular triangle cut not peppers. Oh and the wings were supposed to b bbq. Nope…plain. I called in and talked to the Mgr. She told me the guy making the pizza was mexican that didn’t speak English. REALLY. Isn’t that an important. So if you order from here, put your order in spanish to get it right. What a absolute joke. If this store is a franchise, I wonder if the owner is aware of this. If it’s a company store, the management needs to make a change.

Placed a delivery order. They said it would be 45 min. 1.5hrs later I called. The guy that answered was the rudest individual that I’ve ever talked to on the phone. Stay away. He answered the phone by saying it’s on the way. Then I told him my name and he said oh we just started making it. My wife asked why they didn’t inform us of the delay and asked if they were gonna offer us a discount. He actually yelled at my wife on the phone he said hell no and started giving me excuses that they are busy. I’m seriously disappointed in Papa John’s.

This is not against the store or staff or anyone- This is against the call center to order. Called in for the 9.99 large pizza deal. “Alex” said its a minimum $11 and said we need to order something lol to get the charge up to at least $11 ( not on their website or anything). He then said oh youre too poor to order another dollars worth of something random. He then said youre not good at math and broke down the “retail” numbers and how much more it would be without the deal. I asked to talk to a supervisor the guy hung up. How ridiculous

Usually Papa Johns on the island is much faster than Dominos. Last night it took 3 hours to deliver my pizza 1 mile. I ordered and they decided to have doordash deliver my order and I never received it. I called and they said they would remake my order and deliver it. 45 minutes pass…no pizza. I called back and they informed me that I needed to pay another delivery fee which was ridiculous. I had already paid a delivery fee. I just wanted my pizza. 1 hour later the pizza showed up…old and cold. I would really like a full refund after their lack of customer service. Last night was unacceptable.

Gave this place a couple different tries but this is the most atrocious and unfortunate experiences. Ordered some late lunch/early dinner and couldn’t even eat an entire pizza. The pizza itself was stuck to the box on one of the two pizzas we ordered. If I managed to peel the pizza away, al the toppings slid off. Completely inedible and utterly disappointing. Clearly Hilton Head has horrible Chain Food presence as all the pizza joints here are horrible. Papa John’s is no exception.

Food took over an hour extra to deliver, no contact and manager did not offer anything for inconvenience. Told me driver was on the way and already left store my location is less than 10 minute from store but 30 minutes later still no order.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. I ordered delivery, it never came. Called the manager, waited over 31 minutes on hold until I finally realized no one was planning on answering. The manager was supposed to refund my cost and never returned the call back. Went in to order only to wait and then 15 minutes later have the guy at the counter tell us he made the wrong thing. While waiting another customer was there trying to get her delivery that never came and they were telling her that she would have to repay for another meal or hope the driver brings her food back. THE WORST papa John’s ever! I order papa John’s monthly at home but will never order again during our summer trip to HHI.
