The Lady was extremely rude hung up on me when I tried to place an order. Still drove 20 minutes. Still ordered. Was disappointed at the service but the food was fire. I would def go somewhere else. This use to be the best Jamaican restaurant in West Philadelphia; now, it’s definitely the worst Jamaican restaurant in West Philadelphia.
Ordered on 10/12/2024 had Jerk Chicken and Ordered curry goat; The chicken, the saltiest Jerk Chicken I ever had and, It was very dry. The Mac and Cheese wasn’t homemade, the Cabbage wasn’t good either.
Haven’t ordered here in a year, they need to do better, until then, I’m definitely not going back, 50$ wasted; please avoid Erkie’s, I don’t recommend anyone ordering from this so called Jamaican Restaurant…

The soup I’ve gotten over 5 times. At different times of the day and is always watery. The cow foot soup is Amazing..
Oxtails taste like ketchup or Sugar is in to. I got extra gravy and it tasted like I poured extra ketchup on top.. Very disappointing..

I’ve been eating at Erkie’s for damn near all my life. I’m never going back!! I purchased a small oxtails, rice and peas and cabbage. When I looked at my receipt, that jawn said $19.09 I would’ve told them they can keep it but I was hungry and they have good food! I’m gonna have to find me a normal priced Jamaican spot. This was just hands down over priced!!!!!!!!

This business just lost a very valuable customer. I frequently ordered from Erkies prior to this. I usually order through DoorDash because it’s not close to my house. This was my second time ordering and items I ordered are out of stock but they still will confirm the order through the app and just call and hope you want something else to keep the money. Then when you don’t want a substitute they won’t cancel the order and tell you they can’t cancel it. Now I have to take an extra step and contact DoorDash support to get my money back. If you don’t have an item just take it off DoorDash so no one can order it and stop wasting people time.

The absolute WORST jerk chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken was very dry with no seasoning at all. So, I asked for jerk sauce. They didn’t have any at first. Then they found a cold bottle or jerk sauce on the counter and poured it on the chicken. That sauce was subpar at best. I literally threw the whole platter away. Too dry and very bland. The cabbage was just ok. The customer service was good. But the jerk chicken was trash. Overall, I give this place a 1.5 Star out of 5 or 10. And that star is only because of the service.
