Beware, they add a 10% service fee to your meal. Under California law (SB478) they shouldn’t have done that. When I asked why there was an added 10% service fee (after we had already finished our meal) they then brought me a lament paper stating “it’s a service fee to assist failing businesses”. After leaving I checked near the register and the front door and could not find that a 10% fee was going to be added to our meal. I’m disappointed and discouraged from returning. The food was great … smh

I have been eating here since 1975 and of course the ownership has changed. But the food is always consistently delicious. My favorite dishes are egg foo young with brown gravy and shrimp fried rice. Food is always flavorful with great colors and presentation for the palette. Only complaint I have is that I don’t know if it’s the hot yellow spicy mustard or the air conditioner is not working to good. Because I was sweating like a mad man

Currently eating this waste of time, money & food. I ask for the lunch special & as you can see there is nothing special about this lunch. No sprouts, no onions, or eggs in the fried rice. There’s not much shrimp on the side, and it heavily over battered to make up for the size that is given. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Will not return. This place is outdated with no AC and not worth the 18.95 that I spent for lunch. Seriously, I will be disputeing the charge. Find a better place to eat. Totally not worth it.

This is a mom-and-pop type restaurant, kinda old school . My wife and I had always come here for lunch. We were very much fond of it; for both their food and their super-friendly service. Then we moved away. We recently came back, and it doesn’t feel exactly the same. New owners?

My husband’s family used to go here many years ago and since we were in the area, he wanted to stop here for lunch. The food was still pretty good but there was a 10% service fee added to the bill. When I questioned our server he pulled out a paper from behind the counter that the manager had written saying to charge that fee to help offset costs and help them to stay open. I’m not sure if that’s legit because it wasn’t posted anywhere for the public to see nor was it mentioned at all when ordering or paying. It added $4.20 to our bill. That dishonesty will probably keep me from eating there again. Just be prepared to have an extra fee on your bill if you eat there.
