I only got takeout so I cannot comment on the dining experience. A friend turned me on to the Pho Chicken Soup while I wasn’t feeling well because the broth is marinated for 24+hrs making it very hardy and full of nutrients for immune recovery (that’s what my friend convinced me of at least). I also added mixed veggies for even more nutrients. It was REALLY good, but has a bit more salt than I would like. I went back 2 more times for the yummy pho chicken soup and also added chicken skewers with peanut dipping sauce.

So happy to find this eclectic gem in the bustling area of Yale, New Haven, Connecticut. They serve Laotian and Thai dishes. The crab puffs were delightfully creamy with tastiest dip. The crispy rice dish was also superb, so packed with flavors and textures. The pho could be better though, maybe they were having an off day since judging by their other stellar dishes their namesake dish should be great. A seasonal special is their Lao donuts served with taro cream and condensed milk. Served warm, the skin was crispy but the insides were soft. Swoon!

Definitely on my list of 20 restaurants that represent my top 10 fav restaurants in New Haven. Totally delish, large portions (that you can even upsize to “Rudy” size!), at affordable prices. Location is decent, street parking available. Open during Covidian days, with spacing, etc. Summer rolls are delish, and all the veggies are super fresh. Can eat gluten free, vegetarian, or pork free here. Highly recommend!

We chose to grab some take out here.
My partners yellow curry was good.
However my medium pho came with separate noodles which was fine except for the noodles (plain noodles for pho) clearly had other food and whatnot in them. Luckily I had vermicelli noodles on hand so I chose to make my own. Pho was just okay. Cuts of beef were extremely chewy and tough.
I likely won’t order again due to the cross contamination in my food alone.
