We live 45mins away and wanted to experience something with a nice vibe and The Raleigh Room was definitely worth the drive. The Cavalier itself is stunning and we love the history of the place. The Raleigh Room had a great ambience with the dim lighting and live jazzy music. We ordered cocktails and tried the Meat Tray and the Truffle Fries which was the perfect fare to go with the drinks. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely plan another trip to go back for another date night.

As a writer, atmosphere matters more than people realize when you’re trying to think, create, and stay in flow. Cassy at The Reign Room made the experience exceptional. The atmosphere was welcoming, calm, and thoughtfully curated, but what truly stood out was Cassy’s service. Her attention to detail, awareness of the space, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. She created an environment where guests could truly settle in and enjoy the moment. Outstanding service and a perfect example of how great hospitality shapes great experiences.

We had an amazing experience! Our server, Ashley, was great! So attentive and made us feel special (we were there for a birthday). I highly recommend the high tea — food was excellent and they had a variety of teas to choose from. The ambiance was so cool! We took awesome pictures and had a really great day. 10/10 we will definitely be back!

I was at the Raleigh Room this weekend for afternoon tea and was a little disappointed overall. The tea itself was okay and the snacks were fine, but the price point was a bit much ($35 I think it was) for just a few small bites and what was basically 1 fancy tea bag. That in and of itself I would have probably rated 4 stars since I did sign up for tea (although I expected a bit more), but my concern came when we went to check out. It was myself, 2 friends, and my 4 year old. As a single mother I had to bring my child and expected to let him snack off my plate, but when the bill came they charged me for him – at full price, none-the-less. $35 for a 4-year old to snack off my plate is absurd, that price for an adult is even pushing it IMO for what you get. Not only that, but we asked them to split the check so we could pay individually and they basically scoffed at us and said they couldn’t do that. Mind you, we only asked for 3 separate checks and the only thing we purchased was tea time, which was charged individually. It literally would have taken them all of 30 seconds to split the check up. The complete lack of customer service and snooty attitude towards us for asking was enough to make me not want to come back there again.

If your looking for an exceptional way to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Cavalier Hotel is the place to be. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this would be a memorable experience. The hotel was stunningly decorated, creating the perfect holiday backdrop for family photos we’ll treasure for years to come.
Ambiance: The holiday atmosphere was magical, with live classical music enhancing the elegant setting. Guests dressed beautifully, which only added to the festive charm.
Service: The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and seamless throughout the evening. Every detail seemed carefully orchestrated to make the event special.
Food: The culinary offerings were a highlight. The seafood bar, featuring shrimp and oysters, was a standout. Salads, appetizers, and carving stations were equally impressive, showcasing a variety of flavors and high-quality ingredients. The drinks were thoughtfully crafted and absolutely delicious.
The only slight disappointment was the dessert selection. While the options were tasty, they lacked traditional Thanksgiving staples like pumpkin pie, which would have completed the experience perfectly.
Overall, the Cavalier Hotel delivered an unforgettable Thanksgiving celebration. The beautiful setting, exceptional service, and outstanding cuisine (desserts aside) made it a truly special event. I’m already looking forward to returning next year and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a festive and elegant holiday experience.

Solid food, good service, fantastic atmosphere, especially if you catch some live music! Ghost Cat is an absolutely legendary must-try of a drink, espresso martini very nice as well. Baked brie another-must-try, Brussels sprouts also very good. Have to admit, for about $20 each, would’ve hoped for more out of the meat and cheese boards, but not bad. Cavalier Gin and Tonic and Judy and Liz cocktails okay, a little dryer if that’s your taste. Impressed with the good service amongst the chaos of a busy Saturday evening – just grab a seat anywhere and the waiters will be doing their best to help you out.

Our overall experience wasn’t bad, but there were a few things that were not good. First, it’s advertised as a holiday tea, but all of the holiday decorations were removed to prepare for New Year’s Eve on the 30th. Additionally, we waited to be sat for about 25 minutes despite having a reservation. Once we were sat the experience improved with a live performance by an excellent piano player and our server was also attentive.
