first time there. Everyone was very nice that worked there. My only reason I gave it four stars is because the water I was drinking was not filtered. Seems like restaurants who don’t filter their water it tastes really funny out here in the country.

Nothing like great service and great food during a training lunch break! Close to.our location…no traffic! Great service and quick plate of food on our table. Well worth the calories around the belly. Definitely will return…if ever I’m in this neck of the woods

Paid $7 for a small scoop of Mac n Cheese. Their food was okay, but not $90 for basically 2 plates. I thought I would give them a shot because I love bbq and it’s close to home, but I will not go back here again.

Finally a restaurant the knows how to smoke meat properly! Everything is delicious but the brisket is my favorite. It’s trimmed properly, bursting with flavor and not full of fat! Never a long wait, full bar and friendly staff. 5 out of 5 for me. You won’t be disappointed!

Brisket grilled cheese would be good I think but the ratios of bread, cheese and brisket seem off. The cheese on the brisket nachos was not very good otherwise I think those would be good because the brisket, guacamole and pico were good. Fried pickles were pretty standard. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff were really nice. We’ll give it another try maybe sticking to the standard BBQ dishes next time.

The bbq is good here! The brisket really stands out as our favorite. Its very moist and has a really good flavor. The ribs, chicken, and sausage were also good. The ribs are a little peppery so if you like some spice, you would really love the ribs.
The bbq sauce is a good compliment to the bbq, but it’s got a slight kick to it. The sides are all solid. The mac and cheese is always a good option. The pickles here are so addicting too. They are cut thick and have a great flavor.
They have a bar on the inside and tvs to watch sports. It’s a nice place to grab a drink and hang out if you are into that.
Overall I would recommend checking out this place. It’s good to have a bbq joint back in West Columbia.

2 meat plate means 2 meat for the price on the menu. A 2 meat plate with double brisket it a a $5 upcharge. Nowhere on the menu does it say that. Average overpriced BBQ. Brisket had more fat than meat. Mac and cheese and smoked sausage were dry. So if you are getting your food to go make sure you get a drink with it cause you’ll need it. First and last time coming here.

I dined at Republic BBQ for the first time this past weekend. My friend and I were concerned because this restaurant doesn’t have the strong bbq pit smell. Upon entering, I noticed that the restaurant was very clean. The meals and reasonably priced and they have a bar with some good selection of adult beverages. Customer service was superb! Thank you! The potato salad is the best potato salad that I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant! I was not expecting it to be so good. It actually tasted like my family made it. Lol. The peach cobbler was very good. The brisket was cooked to perfection and tasted really good. Everything was good except the baked potato and this is the reason for 4/5 stars. Nonetheless, I will dine here when I’m in town again.

Updated review***This was our 2nd time here. We made a post about our first time. It was the first day, so we took a lot of things in stride and understood that some things were not up to par. This being our 2nd time, things have not improved. Honestly, I feel like some things have gotten worse. I didn’t take any pics like I usually do. I was honestly just shocked that they sent food out looking like it did. Pics would definitely have improved understanding as to why I changed the original rating. The first time, the onion rings were on point. This time, the onion rings were onions with the crust falling off or not even on the onion. We ordered jalapeño sausage, and when it got to the table, it did not look or taste like jalapeño sausage. The waiter asked for a piece of our sausage so that he could ask the kitchen. He didn’t even know what it was. The kitchen said it was regular sausage and not what we ordered. There were 2 waiters, and it just seemed like one was doing all the work, and the other was walking around trying to look like he was doing stuff. I really was disappointed in this second experience. I was hoping that with some time, things would improve. I don’t think we will be back unless we just absolutely need BBQ in a pinch. The pics in the review are from our first visit during their grand opening.

I had no idea what to expect, so it wasn’t hard to exceed my expectations. It was great atmosphere, food was delisious. Service was spot on. All around a great place to grab some stick to your ribs food.
