We had an amazing full Tasting menu here and impeccable service. The food is mind blowing- extremely well thought out, perfectly made and arranged. From the very start of the snacks inside of the stunning bar, to the Tasting menu inside of the beautiful dining room everything was a symphony of service and food. As it is with tasting menus it’s hard to describe it in detail. So the best way do describe it is “innovative & delicious”. Having had a good selection of dining experience like this across the world, I simply don’t understand why Bare has “only” one Michelin Star. It deserves at least two. As a side note – we had the non alcoholic drink pairing (a first for me) and I highly recommend that. It was innovative, truly matched the dishes and it was delicious!

No longer a restaurant, this is a bar.

I wanted to come visit this bar as when it was part of the restaurant Bare, I had some great speciality cocktails in this fabulous looking bar. However the experience shows that they simply didn’t know what to do with this space.

There are no longer any speciality cocktails but a small list of classic cocktails and some very standard gin and tonics. I love classic cocktails but these were made decently with middling ingredients but for a high price. The highest cocktail price I’ve seen in Bergen for absolutely no reason.

They also offer bar snacks which were extremely expensive. We paid 95 kr for 8 olives. This was pretty funny actually. Embarrassing for all involved.

We had shorter tasting menu in 07/2022, food was great and wine pairing superb, service was friendly and not too formal, they even send some Finns from kitchen to serve us some of plates. Only “downside” was, i needed to ask few times non-sparkling wines, as they forgot it, but fixed it with smile on face.

Its Michelin star is deserved. The food tasting menu is delicious and creative. The wine list is solid, somewhat overpriced. The food service is artistic, quite slow, but the wine service is chaotic and not well organized. The common impression is positive. To my mind, the restaurant is a good option of high-end cuisine in Bergen.

Michelin star restaurant in Bergen. Over 10 types of foods from the bar area to the restaurant area. The decoration of their foods was amazing although each portion can be tiny. It took nearly 4 -5 hours in total to finish so we left a little bit tired. This is not just for filling stomach but rather a food show. Service is great but could be better.

The bar in the hotel Bergen Børs is exceptional. We had a wonderful evening tasting all the snacks on the menu (yes, all of them in the end !), soaked up the surroundings and enjoyed the outstanding cocktails mixed by Frank, who is something of a magician when it comes to cocktails! We were made to feel wonderfully welcome by Jack who was such good company and great to chat to, covering many topics including spiders, horses, penguins, history and travels 🙂

We will definitely return and very much hope to find both Frank and Jack there !

Great experience. All the courses we had were excellent, using primarily local main ingredients and making them shine. Also nice use of pickling and ferments. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The wine selection is broad ranging from DRC to Radikon and Mother rock.

Me and my friend had 10 courses and a bottle of wine + cocktail and we had a WONDERFUL time here! Foods were perfect! My 1st goes to Norwegian eel, then salmon nigiri, oyster, and matcha crème brûlée

I am a very detailed person, and what I recognised here is that their service is top tier(I’ve been to too many fine dining, including Michelin star and their service is at the same level as 3 star in Paris)

So, it is more than “worth the money” I’d definitely come back here again.

Great experience with the new team and the new menu. Chef Pak has created new dishes and dares to combine ingredients in a new way. Generous portions in the set menu unlike many others. Moving the restaurant in to the bar is a clever move. The wine pairing is refreshingly bold. The price for 10 dishes is surprisingly reasonable.
